My input on the subjekt is, your 400watt hps does not cover the kelvin or type white colour that germination wants, I have also read up on this topic, seen many large seed banks and medecine cultivating use exactly the same as my next topic written here, because flowering plants need low kelvin mimicking late summer warm white and in the start more blue type colour higher kelvin.
I also have good experience with miccorizza. This is gold for the start letting roots be healthy enough to create wanted effect.

Shit..... I forgot about this thread.....

To be honest, I don't use it now at all.

I had some "Dry Trim" Blades/wires that came with the Bowl trimmer, but true to form, I have lost them, so I can't experiment with them anyway.

I know you are aware of the following Tom, but others may see this "old thread" also.... So, to update it.....

I have changed my drying method to a "full plant, rough trimmed, upside down, slow & controlled dry".

The plant is cut at the base and rough wet trimmed, before hanging upside down in the tent. The drying tent remains in total darkness and the environment is controlled for the duration of the dry.

This can take between 10 and 18 days, depending on plant type / size....

Currently I am getting some good results by reducing humidity very slowly over time till it gets to about Rh50%, then a last day of 75% humidity to rehydrate them slightly up to about Rh65%, ready for trim and jar cure.

Up to now the plant has been untouched (past the first wet trim), so most the trichomes have been preserved on the bud.

My objective is to maintain as much on the bud as I can, so minimal gentle handling is now called for.

On completion of drying I carefully strip the plant a branch at a time, and complete a hand snip "close trim". some plants are easy, some need a bit more attention - but all are very sticky with the intact trichomes / crystal.

I trim over the "Trim Bin" and collect both kief and sugar trim from the different screens.

Bud, Kief & Trim are then pressed into Rosin (different grades - for different outcomes),

I am currently experimenting, and making THC E-Liquid and Edibles from the rosin.

THC E-Liquid and Edibles are my overall target/outcome, enabling me to give up smoking, it hits my old lungs too hard nowadays.​
