The plants will only absorb certain nutrients effectively at certain levels of ph.

Doesn't matter where the roots are, dirt, water, rockwool, clay pebbles.

Soil acts as a buffer, that's either a positive or a negative depending on your grow style. To me, it's a negative so I choose hydro.

It's a matter of personal choice, you can control situations quicker in hydro, but things can also get out of hand very quickly.

Actually, as far as I know, you also need to check ph, etc when soil growing. And it takes longer to detect deficiency issues on soil, it also takes longer for changes you make to take effect. So, potentially, you have less room for mistakes on soil than on hydro.

Ok, so an interesting update today...

She started growing what looks like roots on the lower part.of the main branch.

I decided to add more pebbles to cover the new root growrh and will check on her again tomorrow.

@Itisi What do you think?

Spot on it just wasn't deep enough uve done the right thing with the pebbles
