Indoor Frank does it again….

It was a shocker, and I would not do it again. For that amount, my husband would put ME down.
By not doing it again, I mean putting him through a huge surgery, excruciating post-op, and not hearing what caregivers were trying to say without saying it.
I put him through 5days of critical care and near torture for a day at home before bringing him back to be put down. I did not grasp the cost in every sense for my poor decision.

It’s your best friend….. emotions are attached. Totally understandable, my friend.

Mind if I ask what the surgery was?

My old dog (ex wife got custody lol) had to have a double knee surgery, and had to spend two weeks in his crate. At the end of those two weeks I swore I wouldn’t go down that road again. He didn’t understand, and felt like he was in trouble, and was never the same. Just seemed like a lot…..

Exactly!!!! Like I chose to do this to him. The way he looked, so sorrowful and I could tell he felt abandoned. The worst.
Bouts of vomiting/diarrhea. He was very sick, and imaging thought small liver/ bowel obstruction/bladder stones. They cut him from his chest to weenie.
Pathology: a congenital hypoplastic biliary/portal system, lots of other abnormal liver stuff. Weird “material” in small bowel colitis…..dismotility from the disease. Basically failure.
