Day 57

Just figured I'd update with some pictures of the plants that are still growing.

One of the wipeout Express plants pistils are really starting to change, the other one is almost all white.

Do you think the wipeout express will finish up? Kinda worried about them. Buds on these babies feel rock hard by the way.

The Fast & Vast plant is the one that looks closets to finished. Do you think I should just harvest now? My trichomes are mostly clear, some cloudy. I haven't noticed much growth out of her, water uptake is slow and most of her pistils have receded. I don't think I will get much smokeable bud off her at all. Share your thoughts with me!

The main reason I'm worried about all of them is the yellowing. Doesn't them being yellow inhibit growth?

Sorry for the sideways pictures, hate that shit but I don't feel like cropping to make them straight.

Are they being fed anything besides water?
The oldest is getting close. you have to be patient at the end

Nah, just water... haven't even been pHIng.

I figured I'd save my nutrients for the next grow as this one is pretty much a lost cause as far as turning them around goes.

Day 58

Fast & Vast - Plant A went into jars today. Will check them before I go to bed and see if they need to go back in the brown bag for the night. Not sure if the humidity in the jar with the buds I got smaller jars this time.

The brown bag method of drying is awesome, I normally hang dry. My bud still smells like grass but that's normal. I'm not even sure if the buds will need to be removed from the jar or not. They feel so evenly dry but not crispy, sponge like sorta but dry. I will continue to use this method in the future. It's awesome because I can hang the bags in my tent while the others are still growing, no need for a extra room/tent to dry in.

Day 58

Just checked Fast & Vast - Plant B and she is gonna come down this weekend for sure. She doesn't have a lot of weight on her but she looks finished to the naked eye and about finished under a microscope. A lot of cloudy trichomes.

Wipeout Express A&B still growing. Very impressed with this strain. I for sure messed up the possibilities of what this plant could produce. They are both tall and wide and will for sure yield more than the Fast & Vast. I will grow this strain again. If I had pH'd the water like I should have been doing I believe she would have yielded 3.5-4oz per plant. I didn't pH the soil once in this grow and so I had nutrient lockout when they started to flower. Shortly after they started flowering all the leaves began to yellow and didn't slow up. The plants are pretty much yellow throughout both plants. The pistils are still 80-90% white.

Pictures of wipeout Express A and B below. Not sure which is which.

Just took one picture of this one below. The two pictures above are of the same plant

It can stay in the jars with a boveda pack.
You will have a good final cut. we learn by doing and you are doing good.

I didn't buy the boveda packs! I never used them before. I normally vacuum seal the buds if I'm gonna have them for a while.

To be honest with this brown bag drying method I don't even think I will have to open the jars. I am to try and cure it though. Told my buddy to swing by and I'd give him an oz of it. I can't smoke it so whatever. I'd like to smoke it but I can't, so it's probably better off if it isn't here anyways.

I am gonna try flavoring a few buds. I took a cotton ball and soaked it with vanilla flavoring and squeezed out 95% of it, stuck it in a coffee filter and closed the jar. My buddy is gonna be the guinea pig. Wish I had some fruit flavoring but ass I had was Vanilla. Wonder if it will come out in a few days smelling and hopefully tasting like vanilla.

So basically a cotton ball sitting in a coffee filter at the top of the jar. Secured the filter with the lid of the jar. The liquid will never touch the bud. I could soak the bud in it then dry the bud but it would be harsh to smoke, maybe even unsmokable.

My thought is with the bud sharing the same air as the vanilla the bud should absorb the smell, and hopefully hints of the flavoring will absorb into the bud too without making the bud taste harsh. I seen these things called flavor jars which I believe use the same concept. Flavorjars.com - people say they work but it would be a lot cheaper to just make your own. Even if this doesn't work with the vanilla I'm gonna try with blueberry or strawberry flavoring. How do you think it will work out?

I have no idea how it will work but sounds interesting ! boveda just keeps them right, like good cigars are kept a little moist . not expensive , just put one in a jar.

I know, I'm just not gonna need them because I'm not storing it. I'm giving it away to friends and family pretty much.
