Hello and Happy 2019 AFN! I'm Flipper and this will be my 1st journal. I'm in Massachusetts, we've been legal two years now and I've managed a few good harvests based on what I've learned here. I've jacked up a few grows too so there's still lots to learn. It's a pisser hobby.

I had my medical cannabis card for a few years but didn't renew this year. I think/hope I can keep myself supplied now. Ultimately I want to grow a strain with high THCV levels as it might help with diabetes. I wish we could get more research done.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery. I basically just copy what I see others doing, thank you all:

@HemiSync@Roasty McToasty@Hansbricks@pop22@@Nosias@sonlyajoke@briman@Archiweedies@namvet25@briman@2Stoned2Care @Ryker604 @Screwauger@Root@bushmasterar15@Ronin@archie gemmill @RamboGarden @trailanimal@Dudeski@Tiny Bubbles@Ash-a-Ton@IzzyTheGrower@Mano'Green@BigSm0@MassMom@lunarman@BII

I was going to use 100% coco but I ran out so the bottom 3/4's of the pot is coco and the top 1/4 is FFOF soil. I don't remember seeing that done so we'll see what happens. I'll let her live off the FFOF until I turn on the AutoPot.

I use tap water that's 0.3 EC, 170 ppm 500, 7.5 pH. I let it sit for 48 hours or so and pH it to 6.0.

Grow Area:
2'x4'x6' Grow Tent
6" Exhaust Fan
Oscillating Floor Fan

Lights:
(3) BigSmo’s AutoCobs
(1) 125W 6500K CFL

Nutrients:
Megacrop

Pots:
(1) 15L/3.9GAutoPot system with AirDomes and Root Control Disks

Medium:
Canna Coco Natural and Fox Farms Ocean Forest

Seed:
(1) Fast Buds LSD-25

I'm late getting this journal started, she broke ground 12/25, Happy Christmas to me! I use the CFL the first week or so. I set a humidifier on one side of the pot and a small fan on the other side to create a stream of moist air across the seedling as shown in the pic. Wish me luck!

:pop:I love me some autopots, autocobs, and some Fast Buds genetics, especially that LSD25 auto they have. Some of the most enjoyable smoke I have ever grown. Getting ready to drop me some FB Tangie-matic soon.
Thanks for posting a journal. :slap:

Thanks St. Tom and idiopathic neuropathy.

Forgot to mention, no clay balls in the bottom of the pot.
i have done them with and without clay balls i think its better using them for drainage but i have had great results either way your gonna smash it pal

What kind of humidifier are you using? It seems to be doing the job well. I have a hard time keeping rh in check during the winter months. Good luck on your grow.

Hi ReNN042, thanks for dropping by. It's a Crane EE-5301 and ya, it's working well for me and the dial shown is actually very accurate. But I would say especially that the process of pulling the moist air over the seedlings has really been a game changer for me. I've always done ok with germinating but my growth during first two weeks of growth wasn't that great until I started doing the pull process. It hard to see in the pic but the little girl gets a steady stream of fog over her and a gentle pulling breeze.

Here's a better pic of what I'm doing. So the little white fan is sitting on a hunk of foam blowing the air towards the left wall of the tent which pulls the fog across my girl - a "atmospheric river" if you will, ha. There's an open vent on the right side of the tent for passive air intake and the white fan blows out a vent of the left side so this also acts as my exhaust fan during this period.

Also note in the upper left-hand corner, barely visible, is a @BigSm0 AutoCob that I'm using to "wean" her off the CFL. So the CFL is 6400K and my cob is 3500K. She's been under just the CFL for 10 days now and today I lit up the cob that I have angled at her. Not sure if this is needed but I've seen people mention plants "stalling" when changing from one light type to another, so I do this to try and prevent that issue. So day by day, inch by inch, I'll pull the CFL away until she's just under the cob. I need to read more about stalling, any feedback on this would be appreciated (from anybody)...TIA, Flipper
