Id rather call my current plants an environmental test run than an attempt at growing since they are pathetic and probably wont produce. Luckily ive learned along the way and hope for better results this time.

Issues I had I think I corrected:
Heat: had a tough time getting my room dialed in but think im in the right zone of 76-82
Humidity: had big issues getting the humidity up but now been stable 50-60%
And the big one: plant starter plugs. Not using them. May have bought a junk brand or something but 2 of my plants grew horizontally across the surface of the plugs, and I yanked my runt only to find almost no roots after nearly a month, the only root was coming through the side :slaps:

So heres going to be my journal of my grow, I put 2 NL auto fem seeds in paper towels today

Sunshine mix 4, 3g smart pots, mars II 700w, and dutch master gold nutes including add.27, a+b, silica, and calimagic.

Nutes are still a source of confusion for me, mainly wondering If most people follow a chart or what their plant looks like? Everyone says not to feed for a week or 2 but every feed chart has week 1 feeding, so if I skip some weeks, do I start feeding on week 1 or week 3 nutes?

Thanks for everyone's help, I hope this grow goes a little smoother than my last I rushed into.

Heres the runt I yanked... almost 4 weeks old?!?! Checkout where the root came through

Right I did similar also but when you started feeding did you start on week 1 of the chart or week 3/4? The DM calculator says to use about 2ml of a and b for week 1 and like 6ml for week 3. So I dont know if I undernourished my plants giving them 2ml when they were starting week 4. Atleast now ive come to peace with the fact they are screwed and nothing more than a test plant for me to learn on :d5:

Now I DO hope this new batch is journal worthy, I just put them into soil a minute ago and starting them quite differently. We'll see but it cant be any worse than my 1st 1st attempt

i use BioBizz BioGrow BioBloom TopMax and some Epsom salt 1tbls/1L these are very mild nutes i start with 5ml/1L and go up after 1 1/2 weeks to 8ml/1 and at day 40 i stopped to feed vegi/nutes

Hmmm I think I went overboard (with help from local hydro store) and I bought almost every nute in the dutch master line. Then the calculator is throwing me off and im not 100% sure exactly what they need when. Atleast I have a couple weeks to figure it out again and 4 plants I can test on now :) for now they are just getting a little root starter drops and some silica (how can the stem beef up at this stage? Or is the local store trying to get me spending a gazillion dollars on nutes?(its working))

So heres what I have going on right now. The beans are in soil, about 48" away from the light and under some water jugs to further cut the light and raise humidity. Hoping for much straighter stem development and quicker growth since I think my plant starters I used last time were too dense. Victims in the back are about 25 days

They're trying to get you to spend a gazillion $.

The feed charts are ridiculous. The only thing they're good for is as a guide to what's for sure a toxic dose. If week 1 is 2ml and week 6 is 5ml you know never give 5. Your plants rate of growth and how often she's thirsty will determine her fertilization schedule. I burnt the crap out of plants because they only needed water weekly. If you follow the chart you'll be adding chems every water. No flushy flushy.........

Enjoy your grow.

7 days old and they are doing pretty well I think. Atleast this time the stems grew straight but one of the 2 is a bit deformed. What causes the deformities as I noticed some oddities in my bigger test subjects like uneven branching and uneven leaves etc. Anywho not too much to look at but they are getting distilled water and a few drops of root drops

Guess im on day 19. 2 days ago I gave them their first nutes other than rapid start root drops. They got 1ml of silica and calimagic, 6ml of add.27 and 2ml A+B. Using dutchmaster nutes again, most of the lineup. I started out with 1 under cfl and 1 under led, and although both plants were progressing at the same rate, the one under the cfl was about 50% bigger in every way so I grabbed a couple more powerful 23w cfls and have them both reaching for the sky right now. Odd how much smaller the plant was under leds. Leaves werent as big and full and plant was much squattier with no space between nodes. Not a ton to report, plan on reorganizing my room once my t5 shows up today so um ya. All in all doing MUCH better than my first attempt
