I usually top around day 15 typically no later then day 21. I like to do it between nodes 4 and 5 but have seen folks do it between 5 and 6. IMO the sooner the better gives them time to recover before sex and stretch

I got 2 grows under my belt both photos so my experience is limited with autos going with soil mix Jeano recommended

Little early to be able to narrow it down for sure yet. Mid way into flower will probably be a bit easier to tell with plant and flower structure and aromas
If I were to take a stab in the dark and this is a guess it looks like a Blue Dog cross which there are quite a few that share that lineage or possibly the 3BOG leaning pheno of the Kush Kush
