New Grower First time, possible nutrient deficiency...

Went ahead and watered today using the above recommendations, runoff had a PH of 6, should this worry me?.

Unfortunately Cal/Mag isn't available locally so picked up a bottle of Pro-Cal.

I'll keep the thread updated as they progress. Thanks for all the help so far!

If that's the Green Plant ProCal I used it for the first time on this grow, had the start of a CalMg deficiency early on (about week 3) before adding any, started it 0.5ml/L and slowly upped it to 1ml/L and never had any problems after, so from that experience would say it works well, reckon if I started it earlier would had had no CalMg problems at all.

Did you take a measurement of your nutrient solution prior to feeding? If so, what was it?

Ph of the nutrient solution was 6.5, but being a liquid test kit I can't be 100% sure of the readings, I find myself second guessing the colors. A PH test pen would be ideal but I'm on a strict budget.

After a quick look around today the yellowing does seem to be slowly rising throughout them as well as a few purple stems, again leading me to believe its a nitrogen deficiency. Having fed them now, when should I hope to see an improvement? Are the yellowed fan leaves now goners or will they bounce back?

Thanks all!

You should be seeing good improvement today. The yellow leaves you will loose eventually, you may see a small sign of them getting better but probably not much. The biggest thing you should be looking for right now is new healthy growth and that the yellowing doesn't continue to spread up the plant.

At this point in the grow, don't be afraid to feed them! They will let you know if they get too much by a little burn on the very tips of the leaves but honestly you need to get some nutrients in the plant and the only way you are going to do that is by progressively increasing your feed schedule. The soil that you are using doesn't contain any nutrients, it is inert, so the only way for them to eat is for you to feed them. Regularly, as in every couple of days.

Best of luck my friend, keep us informed on the progress and don't be discouraged. It is a learning process and with every new plant you grow you will get better and better.

Quick update, day 39, 2 days since watering so pots are still heavy. I had to clear away some dead leaves today, hopefully they bounce back over the next week or so, I've read that organic nutes take a while to kick in but with the benefit of being quite difficult to burn my plants.

I've since started a photo grow alongside these, I'll post a fresh thread to keep things simple:cool:.

Yeah! They do look like they are getting a little blood flowing again. Keep feeding them! Those buds definitely look bigger than the pictures the other day.

Day 42, pots were light today so fed using biobizzs recommended week 6 program (3ml grow/3ml bloom) as well as Pro-Cal. No sign of nutrient burn from last weeks feeding. Water Ph was adjusted to 6.5, runoff was between 6-6.5 They seem to be getting a bit better but still plenty of yellow leaves.

So I managed to pick up a Milwaukee Ph55 this week :Cool bud:. Watered this morning again using the Biobizz schedule recommendations as well as the recommended dosage of ProCal. Water was Ph'd to 6.5, runoff was 6.1. They seem to be progressing nicely although still a good few yellowed leaves as well as purple stems, buds are fattening nicely and getting sparkly. I'll update with pics asap.

So day 53, I didn't think they'd make it this far when I started this thread. They're progressing nicely and slowly fattening up. They were watered using plain water about 4 days ago and again today continuing on the Biobizz schedule. I have noticed a few gnats lately so treated using Gnat Off and hung a sticky trap. I'm unsure about when to begin flushing though, I know its two weeks before harvest (recommended indoor grow time is 60-68 days), which means, as of today plain water only for the remainder. Any opinions? Thanks!

Chopped two today, found about 8 seeds on one. Since I'm sure I've no males in with them I guess they herm'd (would the lack of feeding have caused it?). I plan on chopping the others tonight and scrubbing out the room.

My big question though is what to do with the new seeds? Will they be autofems?
