NOT SURE WHY MY IMAGES ARE NOT RIGHT SIDE UP.. BUT HERE ARE SOME PICS AND ANY HELP WITH THIS AND THE QUESTIONS I'VE ASKED WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU.

Confused about your box size ? To get the photos to post upright it's important that you hold your camera upright when you take the photo because the computer program that rotates photos doesn't translate to the site ...

Looks like a nice setup ... re. Fox Farm soil ... some can be a little 'hot' for autos so we'll see how they make out ... when I prepare soil I add lime / bone meal / mycos / perlite ... these help maximize yield but you should be fine for a first grow w/o ... I don't know anything about CFL ... my guess would be to throw everything you have at them ... I would turn your light fixture sideways and form a reflector over your light bar so that 1/2 your lite isn't wasted shining upwards ... I use Calmag+ w/ my grows ... you will probably need some form of Calmag ....

The important thing to remember is that first grows are seldom home runs so keep at it and by the second or third grow you'll be harvesting buckets of bud ...

my box is 1ft width 2ft length 11inces depth.. turning them sideways im not sure of.. but adding a reflector is something i can do.. ive never made soil so ill have to look all those things youve listed up and see if i can get those together.. and ill have to get some cal mag.. thank you for your input.. hoping seeds pop and are ready in the next day or so.. planting on christmas would be awesome..

Cfls both can be used veg or flower. Can argue all day bout spectrums but its lumens and you have both spectrums with enough lumens to harvest a successful crop man good luck with it.

I'm also doing a CFL grow for my first, will be germinating IN LESS THAN 7 DAYS!! sorry for shouting, I'm excited.

Your box does seem a little cramped. As for the light/reflector, i think the orientation may have been confusing, but a reflector will definitely maximize your light. I've also read that the FFOF soil is a little nutrient heavy for autos. Luckily, I'm a 'soil scientist', I'm a field tech, and work in a soils testing lab. Those additives will help disperse the provided nutrients, while bulking that expensive designer soil helping to extend the usable life. Those bulking agents shouldn't run you more than $50-60. Good luck

Don't worry about your soil this grow ... just something to keep in mind while preparing soil for your next grow ...

So i wake up today check my seedlings and bada bing.. one has tap root and ready to be planted.. i planted it gave it about 4-5ml of water.. totally scared im going to over water.. and drown the little thing.. but super excited to see what becomes.. i germinated another seed thinking the 2nd seed.. was a dud.. but ill give it a few more days im patient but impatient at the same time.. just hope one of the 2 seeds left germs.. if both do not sure what to do with the 3rd.. so i guess this is day 1
