New Grower First time grower. 8 Pot Autopot System. Demon Auto Tao & BCN Critical

Just wanted to point out that the link you posted to the feed chart for goliath states that it's for tomatoes grown in soil.. It also says that the EC should be between 2-3.5!! That's between 1000-1800 ppms!! You'll fry those plants if you follow that feed chart. The highest ec I've ever used when feeding nutes to autos, is .8 - 1.0.. That's 500-700 ppms.. Just something to think about before problems start showing. I think I see a few leaves already showing discoloration.
I'm up at 2000 - 2200 EC with my Autos in week 6 since seed and they seems to be happy, would it differ a bit what EC is ok depending on what water and Nutes you are using?
I'm all Canna products and white wine vinegar for PH Down.

Nope! Doesn't matter what nutrient line you are using.. Too much is still too much.. New growers using coco usually get issues at preflower or the first few weeks of flower. Im hoping that doesn't happen to you, but if you're feeding autos 2000 ec feeds, I can't see it not happening. Plants are much more forgiving in veg.. Once flower starts and the feeding needs change, that's when things usually go haywire. The feed chart you are using does not take into account that you are growing autos.. That feed chart was made with photo period plants in mind... that get at least 4 weeks of veg, then 8-9 weeks of flower. Not for an auto the will be harvested in about 9 weeks total. Big difference in life span as well as in feeding needs.

I'll definitely keep an eye on things and lower it a bit, I don't seem to have big build up though as my run off is 1200.
Anyway, that's for another thread, I'm hijacking here :)

by the way, if you were using my ph down, you’d need about 5 drops to bring down by .1, tap water being roughly 7, you’d want 50 drops to bring it down to ph6 (probably more), a pharmaceutical drop is 0.05ml, meaning you’d need 2.5ml of my ph down. This is all rather rough but gives you a general idea. Hope it helps

maybe @Trichome farmer can chime in:pass:
I can confirm ph down added was too much. Ph was around 5 down from 7 according to soil ph meter test. I have added a bit of baking soda. I will test again in a few hours.

Edit: I tested a few hours later. Ph soil tester now showed around 5.5 when I did a test. Its unlikely very accurate but I am ok with that result for now will know for sure when I get my ph pen. I will leave like that for now.

Thanks Wombat, really helps you had my back there! It could have been much longer until I discovered that without you.

On another note, I am very happy with the growth from the ladies. Comparing picture from the 16th day with day 21 and there is pretty massive growth there.
like wombat said ph down can be pretty strong stuff i use vitalink ph down at 1.5ml to 20l of nutes with a starting ph of 6.4-.6.5 to drop it 0,5 you really need that ph pen and a ppm/ec pen if you dont have one but dont worry its still early in the grow any problems can be dealt with thats what afn is for

Have you ever heard of alchemist down? If not maybe give it a look

For PH down I have been using white wine vinegar since day one of my first/current grow.

Day 24

I have added some canna cal-mag to the reservoir at a around half recommend dose. I have also setup my air pump connected to the reservoir to turn on 4 times per day for 15 mins each time to help stir the nutrients mix. I haven’t yet been able to order ph pen yet. The place I am buying from will have it back in stock on Monday so I will have it posted to me sometime next week.

I have added a couple pictures of the autopot that has twins growing in it. Seems to be going well so far!

Day 29
I have seen some nice growth and no more issues so far. I have applied a little lst to each of the ones in the autopots. I basically just bent them over a bit. I just mixed up a fresh nutrient batch for the ladies. Still veg nutes. Ppm is around 1000. Hope thats ok. I am unsure on the ph, I think The brand new ph pen needs calibration. The 8 autopot ladies are consuming around 10l per day. I removing the standing fan. It’s getting crowded in there.

Edit: Can confirm Ph pen doesn’t measure ph properly and calibrations isn’t working. Damnit. Will try get a blue lab one. At least it works for ppm and temperature measurement.

I have raised the lights and turned up lights to max now. I am thinking it might be good to defoliate some?

Day 32.

I sent the ph 5 n 1 pen back for a replacement today. All I was able to successfully measure was PPM with it.

The 8 autopots ladies have drunk 50 litres / 13 gallon in 3 days. I just filled up another 80L for them. I have used my proper camera for these pictures.
