@islandgrower @hecno @Maria Sanchez When I see the top inch of the soil get dry, how do you suggest I water them?
So far, I've read that I should take small amounts of water around 20-30ml and drip them a little around the diameter of the seedling. I should not spray on any part of the seedling. Is this correct?
My instinct told me to just mist the center a couple times. Luckily i read first....
Guys...?
Yes. Time to water if that dry.
I have no standard volume of water per watering at all.
I water until they have enough.
For tiny seedlings, I would prob not let it dry down to an inch.
Why not spray on the seedling itself?
I often do. Let them feel the rain.
Just don't over do it.
Like all things, no set answer.
You'll have to get the feel for it.
Try the middle way -- not too much, not too little.
But what you're doing sounds about right.
Maria , has you covered on that mate .
Great looking seedlings 50% done . Now comes the fun part .Day 2
Early morning before right before sun came up. Looks like they waiting for the big sun...little droopy in PE and WW...
The order of pics is the same. When the sun comes up, hopefully PE and WW will do better.
Hope to see the shell fall off the PE though
You guys see anything important?
Keep the seedshell moist. It will come off . I usually moisten it well and then gently remove it . Only hurt a seedling once lol. Thanks Maria. At the moment, they are still pretty moist with only couple small surface clumps that are dry and different in color (lighter). Really not even 3%. I will do as you say and water till i think is enough. Should be ok with the experience these 2 days. I expect to water a little tomorrow morning just to keep it moist.
All have sprouted the cotyledons with only one of the PE having the shell still stuck on it. Leaf not opened yet. I hope its gonna be ok.
Thanks
