My candies haven't come in yet but I do have my lights n "Hempy buckets" ready my set up is fairly simple as I was taught you can't go wrong with simple. I have 4 54watt HO t5. Two 2700k and 6500k bulbs. I'm using 4 gallon garden buckets. Each bucket has a 1/2" hole 2" from bottom creating a 3 litter resivour filled w/ perlite and topped off w/ coco. I well be using the 3 part GH units as well. No closet, no duct work just buckets n lights. Well create a journal when candies arrive.

Hi RTR, welcome to AFN. If you have not already done so how about stopping by Introductions and tell folks about yourself.

We have seen quite a few issues with high salt levels in coco so make sure you soak yours and rinse it a couple of times before use.

You will probably need to do something to control humidity, the plants like 50-65% during veg and then 25-30% once in full bloom. Do you have any concerns about odor once the plants start blooming?

If you don't already have a soil type pH probe and pH meter you should consider them. Also a TDS meter so you can set your feeds to the correct level. You should also get some cal/mag supplement.

Looking forward to seeing you up and growing

Thanks oldster. Stealth and odor control are not an issue as for humidity. My rooms in home go between 40% to 50% so growing in the open like I am should be okay. Maybe some humidity tinkering in that area if needed? Thanks for then advice n tips. I received my candies today and started to germ a hijack and shark bite in moist paper towel in the baggy kept in a dark room. Is this method of germination any good?

Hi RTR, for veg 50% is at the very low end of what you are looking for, something like 65% would be better. Once in full flower you want humidity to be under 40% closer to 25% if possible. You could raise it with some plastic draping over your setup.

RTR, Welcome to AFN and the paper towel germination method is perfect. It work's well for me. I like to be able to see the tap root that way if you have a dud seed you know it before you throw it into your set up. Good luck!
