New Grower First Grow, WW,NL and Cream Caramel, Far from what it should be, but hopefully will get there

+rep for the harvest. Not perfect but most people here including myself had issues with the first grow. It only gets better from here.

Andy, I expected there would be issues, but still don't have a clue why two- other than being real small, most likely from stunting at week 3 and or strains appear to be ok, sticky and smelly, but this one got chaotic and way outta balance when non had diff feedings for the most part. Hmm, well thanks again for the replies.

Good harvest dude. I'm sure it'll cure well and you'll be happy once you get a bit rolled into a spliff. You will only get better at this stuff, and your results are better than many other first timers. Next step is to get a few seeds and start your second grow! At the end of day it's still a lot more satisfying than growing some lame tomatoes and peppers, isnt it?

Ok so I weighed the final dry product of the CC, the main cola came in at 20g minus the stem, the remainder came in around 24g, so totaling about 44g, small yield, they did get stunted but maybe it's the strain also. If anyone has any intimate knowledge of Cream Caramels and can confirm it's norm stature. I don't have a pic of the WW or the NL cause I'm depressed, but the WW is scheduled to get chopped Sun day 80 cause I started flushing her a lil earlier than I should have, be ending week 3 of flush Sun. The NL is still up in the air, I gave her a watering at 6.1 with a tiny bit of feed, got 6.3 runoff this time, but it looks like it might be too late, really sucks. I will get pics up in a couple days, especially if there is a positive change.

Hey, quick update. I haven't been on in a min so I wanted to update you on the WW and NL, I chopped the WW at day 80, I think it was premature still since the trichs weren't amber yet, but didn't want to start feeding again then flush again, no specific reason. The Final Dry weight was 62g, lil over 2oz, not great but... The NL which I don't have a pic up is still about dead, she has no leaves other than a few lil ones right near the bud sites, but even they don't look good. She hasn't completely died yet though, I got some new nutes in and gave her a lil lime and a good feeding at 6.5, wasn't sure how much lime to use though. The buds actually seem to have gotten a lil bigger and I saw my first trich on it yesterday, so not sure how that works, especially since there aren't any leaves, NON. Well I won't stop hoping yet. The warmer temps are starting to come back far too quickly, so I'll be looking to purchase LED's soon since my 600w HPS and my room that's built outdoors is way too damn hot, any suggestions I'd like to hear them. I will be starting my next grow very soon, I'm waiting the outcome of the NL and then starting, I will be growing the same three strains as the last time, a Cream Caramel, White Widow and Northern Light, I also will be growing Kandy Kush next time.

Smoke update- Ok so I finished smoking the CC already, goes quick when both my girl and I smoke, I also took branches off periodically so we didn't have much at the end, about an OZ. OK, well not sure how much the potency was affected by me chopping her early, but she was Frosty as fuck, so damn sticky, but she didn't seem to smoke all to well, she looked gorgeous, but she also didn't have any amber trichs. So I'm also concerned about the WW, but form what I've smoked she has a nicer high, and she isn't near as frosty as the CC was. Oh well, I will see the diff on this next grow since I can now go by trich colors now that I have a loupe. Thanks for checkin this out.

Howdy Freelivin...just wanted to chime in on my experience with a couple of those strains. First congrats on the grow, yer ladies look real good! I have grown WW auto a few times and i let her go beyond 75-85 day and havent seen a bunch of amber trichs on any of my runs. I read somewhere that WW commonly runs long and shows few amber...but im sure that varies from grower to grower. but when she was cured she tasted and treated me very well...lol i was "testing" the small buds all along the way too, and i could taste and feel the different stages as she went from immature to cured..pertty cool.
I also have grown out the photo version of NL a few times too. this is a very hearty plant..and on my last run, she was about 2.5 weeks from harvest and a super cold snap came and literally froze her solid...so i harvested early thinking she wld be bunk..but I put her through a standard dry and cure and she is smooth and gets me hi as a kite! got a bit of a sweet taste and a heady high (i think cause i took her early)...but great smoke none the less.

I agree with soccerdad that looking for amber trichs isn't always that useful with autos like it is with photos. Some strains and plants amber up, which others just get cloudy. Also, I think you'll find that once you get a stash built up and have time to properly cure, the smoke quality and potency improves greatly. After drying for a week I usually have my bud jarred up for the better part of a month before breaking into it, and that makes a huge difference in the quality. Hard to say if that would have helped with your CC, but it couldn't have hurt.

Overall you've done an awesome job with a first grow and pulled way more weight than most beginners do from a couple of plants. Nice job! :clap:

Nomis- I had put the smoke report up since you reminded me about it, it most def is better growing my own and I'm sure your right that for the most part things should get better from here out, Hopefully... Thanks for the input

Hey Soccerdad, thanks for the reply, it doesn't seem like a very good grow this time around, but I guess I shouldn't complain, even though I see some doing some outrages yields I also see some barely getting and oz, I know mine got stunted at week 3 so I'm hoping next grow will be better, I will also get to see the diff (if any) when not stunted (if I can manage) Also I'm not good at patience, I would have been had I had some meds but I didn't so I've not done so well waiting for final cured product. I'm working on it, I got the WW dried for 3-4 days and now curing & at day 4 but I've been smoking since I began the cure. And as for my NL, well updated pic is above and info below. Thanks again for the relpy

Hey Andy, wow props to you bro, as I was saying to SD I haven't had that luxury just yet. I'm not experienced at any of this, especially curing, so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or wrong actually but after a week in the jar they seem pretty dry, I'm using broveda 62 packs right now to help, of course I might have over dried the CC at first, it didn't seem to change as time went on, but so far the WW has a nice smoke to her, be nice if it gets better. Oh, and thanks for the encouragement on the grow and yield.

NL light update- OK we're at day 87. Day 87, damn, and she is still looking rough. Although I have to admit that I had expected her to die well before now. I'm still not sure what caused her to get way outta wack, or f I used enough lime, do I need to add more. However, even though she doesn't have any leaves, at all, she has shown a small amount of growth, I have just started to see some trichs, very small, and I think the buds have gotten a lil bigger as well. I guess if she is able to continue on for a lil while longer she would fill out at an extremely slow rate. Well, nothing else to report, I can see that if this problem hadn't occurred she prob woulda been a beast. can't wait to grow her again and see what happens if these problems don't come up.
