I got it 2 times already, and every time it was because of ph fluctuation +3 -3. Example 5.7 to 7. Check you ph meter maybe it need to be calibrated....

Just checked ph meter and its dead on, and my ph has gone up from 5.7 to 5.9 but it hasnt fluctuated.

But maybe you had ph fluctuations before, leafs don't become like this in 1 day it takes 2-5 days. They should be fine if you will not see any new rusty leafs in coming days. + - 0.3 would not affect your plants

We came to the conclusion that its cal def and I'm waiting on the calmag to come in any day now. Thats why the leaves are so unhealthy. But would the cal def cause the brown roots too?

No, and I'm 99% sure it was because of ph fluctuation = multi lockout = rusty spots... But it is my

Keep your ph in range + add some cal/mag (distilled or RO water need it). Do you use some root stim? or enzymes? Check my grow log

you will see I had exactly same things in beginning of my grows...

The only things I have are GH 3 part flora series nutes, ph up/down, tds calibration solution, ph calibration solution, and 3% h2o2.
