New Grower First grow. looking for some help along the way

I have a fan blowing. I will move the lights alittle closer at lunch. I have 4 smaller cfls in a fixture over the 3 cups. I can add 4 more bulbs for 8 and have I two more fixtures for when I transplant.

yeh alright, remember check with your hand between to see if to hot, also if you close it up and have no circulation the air will get get hot sweaty and stale, but i think you have a good set up so hopefully that wont be an issue but something to keep an eye on and stay on top of
edit: also your doing good with your watering, and once you start veg growth feed till you have a lil run off and dont feed nutes more than every week, and if soil is dry more than an inch between nute feed just feed a weak nute feed or plain ph water

much love Krazy

assuming you are using a seedling styled mix your watering should be right around 2-4 times with small sprays over the course of the day while lights are on only and never a cpl hours prior to sleep either. And bandit is right its always good to slightly under water than to load it up.them roots are sensitive at this stage so just go easy.super simple.Sounds like yer on yer way doin good. Good luck bud!!Karma to yer wee ones too bro.L8r:Sharing One:

End of day 3. Two of my three blue mystics. Notice in photo 1 that the sprout only came in with 1 leaf but it’s second set of leaves seem to be coming in fine.

Transplanted tonight from 16 ounce cups to 3 gallon pots. Day 7. From now on I will start in final pots with a hole dug out and filled with starter soil and mounded up. Today, I ordered (2) 300 watt original version marshydro led panels. Super excited. I posted pics below of one of my plants and my current grow room set up. As soon as the leds get here I will hang them and mount 12 of the cfls to the walls for side lighting and uv rays. My understanding is that the original version marshydro leds don’t have uv rays and they are needed to produce resin. I cannot emphasize enough how much fun I have had learning about all aspects of growing. 90 days ago I knew nothing.

My current concern is that My soil is
2 parts top soil
1 part cow manure
1 part bone meal
2 parts perlite
2 parts peat moss

My soil ph is 8.1. I am going to get some lime tomorrow. I am hoping if I add it to the soil it will neutralize it and if I use distilled water(my understanding is that it is 7.0 ph) when I add my fox farm trio nutes or a drop or two of vinegar everything will work out around 6.5 ph.
All comments and info are greatly appreciated.

You can also just cut the bottom of the cup off and plant it, cup and all, in the "final pot"...it's called the "tier" method...as autos don't like
transplanting, the tiering is a good way to start small and work into bigger accommodations without stunting the plant :)

RE: pH - You can also use epsom salts to go down , Lime is most frequently used to go gently up towards 7. But it won't be a bad
thing to have that Lime in there. As long as it's Gardening or Dolomite Lime and not that other, super heavy-duty stuff. (Hydrated)

Hopefully you can get that soil pH down a point and a half or so. :)

Good Luck!

Ohh boy lol, 8.1 is danger zone hehe :) ya might need a quicker acting solution, but you might squeak by ok. As for the cfl's, do you really have 12 of em? Holy crap man they gonna be cooking like an ez baked oven lmaozzz! When ya get the Mars 300w, depending on your tent size, you can probably ditch most of those bulbs, maybe keep 4 for lower/side lighting. Just some thoughts brotha, you're on the way :)

Thanks for the input. I actually used the tiered method but after 7 days all my tap roots were stuck to the bottom of the cup and I am sure I stressed them detaching them. Maybe next time I will just transplant after 3 or 4 days instead of 7. Also, I am having heat issues. I will use the cfls sparingly once the leds get here. my closet is 9sq ft.

For some reason pics did not upload last night. It is right after transplant on day 7 and a few pics of my set up.
