Update Day 64

The ladies are doing well, and seem to be finishing up sooner than I thought they would. This morning I looked through my jewelers loup at bothe plants and most if not all were cloudy, with a smattering if amber on the one plant. I made sure to look at the middle buds so I’ll have to decide if I’m going to chop before we go to Hilton Head for 4 days or wait until after. I will have a very close friend(and fellow grower) watering them and the little girls while we are gone so will probably wait till the last minute to decided.

This is the first lady, she had some leaf problems reminiscent of another plant I grew a couple of months ago. I was never able to figure it out as I though it was a magnesium def ot a ph prob, but nothing worked. This time I searched everywhere and found what might be the problem, manganese.

I try to keep my ph at 5.9 as I am in coco and that seemed to work right when I first started growing. Now I fed both of these girls the exact same nutrient mixture at the exact same ph. So my conclusion(not based in scinene) is it all comes down to genetics and the way they absorb certain materials, deal with stressors, etc. I digress.

So I read that manganese was best absorbed in coco around 5.6, so I adjusted the ph for just that plant and the problem has stopped spreading. I just wish I had figured it out sooner but most of the damage is on leaves that will be going into the trash anyway. I took a pic w/o the flash and one with. Here she is.

Then there is my second girl who has no complaints other than she is getting bloated .

And lastly I promised pictures of the babies, which just started on some lst and are doing well. One is showing some light spots on her leaves so will keep an eye on her.

Alright that is all for today. Stay stoney friends!

Looking great - didn't realise people still bought Old Spice ;)

Man, so I fell way behind in my journal, mostly due to a work promotion and wedding planning. So I finished that last grow of the Glueberry and also the Colorado Cookies, I’ll try to see if I have any saves pictures.

What seems to be the norm for me now, I had one plant that was smaller buds but had more trichs coverage and then one that had big ole buds but less covered in trichs than the other. Any rate they both smoke nice but the smaller one kicks our asses a bit more, in a good way.

I took a brief break after the last harvest and just yesterday transplanted a seedling of Dutch Passions auto Think Big. Now I’ve decided to do things a little differently this time, I am just going to grow one plant as two in my small tent gets pretty cramped. I am growing in a 5 gallon smart pot this time, up from my usual 3, and will attempt to have the plant fill the whole tent with some lst and a trellis netting I have. I am also going to switch it up from my normal 24 hour light cycle to either 20/4 or more likely 18/6. I have only grown so far under 24 and I think it may be responsible for my leaf problems, seemed like deficency but was giving plenty of nutes, so it could have been the excessive light schedule.

Here is the little gir at day 1

Alright so I found some pictures. I have none of the glueberry I cut down before going to HH, but I do have some of the one I cut down after I got back.

According to my terrible notes I got 5.05 ounces from the CC2 and 4.86 out of the CC1. Seems like I can consistently produce between 3-5 ounces per plant. No weight on the glueberry ☹️

Hopefully with only one plant I can make more updates. Have a great day!
