    - Briscoe (#3) is doing the best so far.

    - Accidentally fed them two days in a row. No major issues from that after one day.

    - Water use looks to be decreasing with stretch slowing and me pruning more leaves. Although, they did go a few days with some extra dark b/c the smart outlet got reset again...

    - Additional training for Ashley (#1) - basically, just been spiraling tall colas around 3x36" stakes tied around the container. He took an extra L of water today compared to the other two, so I think maybe he went back to growing / stretching a bit because of the late training?

    Day 62
  • 10-25-21_Day 62_All.jpg

    - Few days since an update - basically just plugging along with no significant issues. Briscoe's topped out and continues to fatten up. Bubba's stretch is pretty much done and he looks to be just starting to stack up. Ashley keeps growing a bit, but is slowing, and I keep just tying him down. Sam's just doin' his thang...

    10-25-21_Day 62_#3_Briscoe_Bud.jpg10-25-21_Day 62_#3_Briscoe_Bud_Macro.jpg

    - Briscoe should be done first. Still no real luck with camera / loupe, and trying to avoid having to get a usb scope for now. Not sure it would help because A) no sense of how fast / slow they'll ripen, B) not too sure what I'm looking at, C) not sure I could really tell if I found it. Yes, I know about cloudy/amber trichomes, it's just my first time...

    - I think I'm definitely in the "lower humidity as much as you can" stage, though. I've been hanging around 40-50%, but have been going up to 50-55% at times (e.g., raining out, dehumidifier fills up, etc). Strung up some RH sensors through canopy to check variation with height, and moved the dehumidifier upstairs closer to the grow area.

    - I think these are mostly pics of the same bud on Briscoe over time, but a few pics of a different bud or two may have snuck in there:

    Day 66
  • Sam_Full.gif

    - Sam's now as tall as the others, even though he looks like something you'd find growing in the median of a highway...

    - Other three have plateaued in weight. I guess I'm taking off enough leaves each day to reduce humidity as they're putting on in bud weight or something:

    - Briscoe (#3) still looks about 1-2 weeks away, but is getting there:

    - Bubba (#4) will probably be a week behind, and Ashley (#1) a week behind that, and Sam...who knows. But, now it's mainly a question of "will they finish before they fall over?" Bubba was the one I didn't train at all, so all his smaller colas are starting to lean just a bit:

    - I'll tie 'em off best I can, but pretty sure I'm still gonna end up eventually breaking a cola since I move them so much. Other than that, all looking pretty good:

    Day 74
  • 11-05-21_Day 73_All.jpg11-06-21_Day 74_All.jpg2021-11-05-12-36-43.png

Getting closer...to falling over. Seeing a couple ambers on Briscoe, but I think those are mainly on leaves and not calyxes - hard to tell what I'm looking at when I'm zoomed in with the scope. Either way, almost there!

    Other notes:

    - Stopped tracking temp / RH. I've got my tent fan and lung room dehumidifier running nonstop instead, which keeps RH ~30%. Not the most energy efficient, but I'm doing my part to sequester CO2 by growing plants, right?

    - With the seasons changing, I'm getting less dehumidifier condensate each day. Will probably need to get an RO system or adjust for my tap water over the next few months.

    - Water use seems to have leveled off, but they could just be drinking themselves dry each day since I'm only using 3-gal pots. Should probably check that...

    Day 75
  • Amber Alert!

    2021-11-08-12-08-08.png

That's the top of the main cola on Briscoe. And...I think it's a calyx and not a leaf. I'll check different spots on Wednesday, but looking like she'll come down sometime Wed-Sun.

    - Still just random scattered ambers on Briscoe. I'll let him go until Sunday.

    - Ashley is the one with the bamboo-teepee I've been training the colas around. He's starting to foxtail a bit - maybe because it was a bit warmer this week, which kept the room/tent warmer. Other than that, looks like he's turning into a straight-up wall of nugs...
