New Grower First Grow - GCS Bubble Gum and Cheese

Day 18 and they're really starting to pick up speed. The new side branching is starting to actually look like leaves, and the fan leaves are getting pretty big on Bubbles. I'm noticing just the smallest amount of nute burn (maybe, the very tips look just a little bit lighter green) on Bubbles new growth, so I think she might be a little more sensitive than The Mayor, who has actually been fed twice now and is a beautiful shade of green, these two are definitely developing their own personalities. Both of them look to be praying to me, so I must be doing something right.

I've finally got temps and humidity dialed on a bit better, 77° and 48%. I saw another post about low humidity, and saw a remedy of turning off the exhaust fan, so I turned that off, and the results are a huge improvement, I'd like to see it a few points higher, so I'm still going to pick up a humidifier on payday, but this will do for now.

A couple of pics, it so nice not having to climb in the tent halfway to get detailed shots anymore. First bubbles:

And the Mayor:

And yes, those are stick traps, you may see the solo cups in the first picture, I'm getting the soil acclimatized to the environment, as well as it bending the warmest place in the house, and since it's new soil, I have them in there as a preventative measure in case the new soil has gnats like the last time. Fortunately no uninvited guest have been seen.

Speaking of solo cups, the new girls sunk promptly, so the went into a paper towel this morning, nugz has already started pushing out a tap root, while bubbly livers has only started to crack at the seam. May be going in the cups tomorrow evening or Wednesday. This will put them almost exactly 3 weeks behind these two.

Just a little update for today. Bubbles and The Mayor were both given a feeding this evening. I'm really happy to see the internodal distance getting wider on the Mayor as I've been thinking of doing topping and/or lst on one or both of them, but there was no room for scissors on the good Mayor.

I checked on the two new comers, and both popped their tap roots, I also noticed the paper towel had dried out more than I would like in the tent (it was still damp around the seeds, but not as wet as I think it should be), so I went ahead and moved them in to their cups and covered them with the home made humidity domes I made up. As soon as they poke up i put up a group shot. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday.

turning the extraction off may not be an option late in flower :nono: maybe slow extraction down a tad cheap speed controller.JPGor an old style mechanical timer cheap timer.JPG15mins on 15 mins off.
or as ya say just do it properly and get a dehumidiflier :eyebrows:
3 weeks or 21 days whichever is soonest is what i like perpetual rotation thing :coffee: yhey look green and happy to me :smokeit:
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

Yeah, the extraction fan will definitely be needed once we get into flower! While stealth isn't a huge priority for me, I'm also not too keen on the whole house smelling of weed, kinda hard to tell the kids there must be a skunk outside when it's the middle of December, and the high temp is 15°F. My kids are too smart for their own good... "but dad, skunks hibernate in winter". What's interesting is I saw an instruction manual for a vick warm air vaporizer (read humidifier) in the garbage that my wife threw out, and she thinks we might have it floating around, score!

Still no signs of life from the solo cups, but I think it took a couple of days for Bubbles and The Mayor, so not stressing it.

Speaking of Bubbles and The Mayor, they're really starting to stank ( in the best way possible), when I checked on them this evening I could smell them from out side the tent, it brought a smile to my face! They were also quite dry, even though I fed them yesterday, so I gave them each about a quart of MC. I didn't see any nute burn from last feeding, so i think they're liking it. I'm just about out of my 1g/gal feed, so I'll probably up it to 2g next time. I think they're gonna have a growth spurt soon given how much the rate in the last 24 hours.

Tomorrow marks day 21, so I'll do a full update then, hopefully with pics of 4 plants instead of 2.

Whoops, look what happened when I had my back turned:

1 Strawberry Nuggets an 1 SLxSB (which looks like a cross of Sour Livers and Sour Bubbly) dropped in distilled water. I'll be growing these two in Solo cups, just for shits and giggles. I figure the solo cups will keep size down so I don't completely outgrow my tent.

What can I say, this growing stuff is addictive as hell, so many strains to try out.
Im a pretty big mephisto fan. I really like the grapey walter and the forgotten cookies is amazing. I grew the sour livers last year with the toof decay they were pretty tastey. Ive been working on some of my own crosses of theirs as well. Ur gcs girls are looking pretty good has ur bubblegum started to preflower yet?

It didn't look like it last night, but I didn't look super close, I dig in a little more when I get home from work. I do know she's starting to stink up the room in the basement something fierce, so maybe?

I'll give a more thorough update on the foursome(giggity) tonight.

Day 21, the close of week three! :woohoo:

So I know I've been bitching through ou this thread that they don't seem to be moving too fast. Well, I guess I should really take that back. Here's a side by side of bubbles from last Thursday and the from today:

And today, 11/14/19

The Mayor hasn't seemed as vigorous (but I haven't compared the side by side) I think he's moving along nicely.

And today:

(ok, yeah, he's blown up too!).

I think it's a good idea, at least for me, to compare these spaced out photos, since it easy to feel like you're not making progress because you're too damn close to the situation. True words for life as well.

The both were almost in the read after last night's feeding, and not showing signs of nute burn, so I gave them another slightly lighter feeding of 1g MC. Really, I just feel like they're ready for a stronger dose, so I wanted to clear out the old stuff and make a 2g/gal mix. They are definitely eating/drinking a lot more over the last couple of days.

@Jc420bigbud you asked if they started to preflower, and I'm not positive, but it looks like both are starting to preflower:

And The Mayor (these are a lot smaller, so pardon the shitty sideways photo):

And am I tripping, or is that a smattering or trichomes on the fan leaves? I didn't notice it except in the flash.

As for Nugz and Bubbly, they still haven't poked their heads out, so no foursome for me yet.

What do you all think, am I in preflower, as i suspect?
