First grow, first post

I havent tried Fox Farms soils yet but I have tried their nutrient line, I feel I could've done a bit better on it, but that's mostly my own fault for not staying on top of the Low Stress Training like I should have... I just bent the main stem down and tossed a scrog net over it. Lol. I did end up with 6.51 ounces of some good stuff.

after ALL my researching, obsessing worrying over soil and NOT wanting to pay $40ish a bag for happy frog shipped, I found a local nursery that carries it !
I did pick up a bag, I'll use it till I use it up, then use what I got

wow, $40-? hell, me jus got a 12qt bag of the frog from amazon for $10, lol ppp

yeah, 12qt is $10, I was looking at the big boy, the 2 cu. ft. and it isn't $40, is a little over $34, the nursery here it was $16 the the big bag
should I still mix in a little compost and perlite ? I haven't even opened the bag yet
and due to circumstances beyond my control (the back went out) seeds will soak tonight,
2 stress killers, 1 fast eddie both from RQ (high cbd), 1 northern lights from MOC, 1 AK48 from Nir. , 1 pineapple glue from ADV.
so, if all 5 germinate, I'll start with 5 in my 2x4 tent, in 2gal fabric pots, in various soils, all of which I'm going to try and document
as accurately as possible.

To each their own. I don't but I know people who do. It will drain better if you do.

first -> NL for the win! and ah yes, the big boy...nuff said, lol add compost & perlite-? sure! perlite helpz aerate for good drainage & i'll be addin perlite to mine whenever me crack it open...me haven't opened bag either yet, lol ppp

I used to pay 35.00 a bag and wonder where the heck people could find it for 15!!...If you add compost make sure to add a good amount of perlite for drainage. I used to use it right out of the bag with a little perlite. I was afraid if there were any issues later it wasnt something I added...ha ha. If I were to use compost (and I am no expert so take this with a grain of salt!) I would add it to the bottom half of the pot only as not to burn the little ones. then as they get older and roots get longer BOOM they hit the compost for an added boost.
