First grow, first post

Looks like it’s too late, but I’d stay away from that Kellogg’s Organic Plus.

Bought some at the local big biz store because it was amazingly cheap.

Found all kinds of garbage and recycling in mine: plastic strands, painted wood chips, etc. I’m all for recycling, but there’s a reason why it’s so cheap.

Recently bough some Roots Organic Original at a local hydro store and it was way cheaper than FFOF at a local garden store.

my tent is 2x4, my light is a mars hydro eco120 600w, which if I'm reading correctly actually draws 190w
so, so what size, how many plants do I squeeze in that puppy ? lol
I had just assumed I'd use 3gal pots, but if 2gal might be just fine, and get another plant in, that might better ?
thoughts ?

hmmm...well, generally speaking, the smaller the pot, the more manageable the plant...and well, that'z all me gonna say...(hehe :smoking:) ppp

I use happy frog and you can find it at rural king.
14.99 a bag shipped.

I had looked at it a little at HD, seemed ok, but I haven't taken a closer look here at home, I'm going to open both the MG and the Kelloggs tomorrow and take a look,

May I suggest you try for a growing medium pro mix HP or sunshine mix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] and for Nutrients green leaf. The medium I suggest is soil less mix it is all I have used since 1992.

I ran 2 in my 2×4 with cheap LEDs but they were in 5 gal. Fabric pots. I'm sure I could've done way better, but I got 6.51 oz dry out of it. You can run more in 3 gallon pots, and if you're using fastbuds genetics, they actually recommend 3 gallon for most of theirs except for one or 2 strains. But with mars hydro lights, I think you could probably get the same results or better than what I got. (I'd love to get my hands on a perfect sun led or quantum boards, maybe cobs but my budget this year is kinda tight.)

Also, if you're looking for some decent medium, I got my hands on some Burpee coco coir bricks from home depot for about 3 dollars each. I just ran water through it once it expanded until I saw clean runoff, then mixed my perlite, worm castings and Dr. Earth ammendments. For each brick I used 2/3 cup perlite, 2/3 cup worm castings, 1/3 cup Dr. Earth Pure Gold 2-2-2, 1/3 cup Dr. Earth Flower Girl. I'm not sure if it's the best ratio, but this is a science experiment for me at the moment. Lol. Hope this helps.

I just started trying something called foxfarm Strawberrys Fields for autos.
