New Grower First Grow! - Fast Buds: Cream Cookies

Will achieve that several times over dude! :smoking:
Without seeing the trichs I'm only assuming that the wee lower branch will be clear trichs, immature bud, and maybe a bit unpleasant cos of that. Any time I took early bud the smoke gave me an unpleasant rapid high and a headache to boot. Not a good preview of the true bud of the plant and without a long dry and cure, the taste will probably be a bit green.
She won't be at her best but you'd still get your first homegrown high! If you go for it just expect a great improvement all round after full maturity and a good dry and cure

I'd certainly be happy with that several times over, ha! It's hard for me to gauge how much she'll produce as it's my first grow.

For sure, the trichs will be very immature and I know a quick dry can make it taste bad/be a little harsh, so not expecting the finished product. I think, for me at least, it's more of a confirmation of things going in the right direction :smoking:

Day 61

A very quick, resinous update as we approach week 5 of flower!

I know she's not there yet, but I think I'm about due to invest in a USB microscope.

Day 63

So, quick update on the smoke report, I rolled that bud into a joint on Friday and sampled it. High was a clear/fuzzy head high. Good to get that first homegrown high under my belt!

Ok, so I managed to get hold of a USB microscope, and things look way further along than I expected; I can see barely any clear trichomes. Here are two shots from the main cola (I am ignoring the trichomes on the sugar leaves):

And here's a shot from a lower cola:

To me, that's looks about 100% milky, and I'd expect some to start going the way of the amber over the next week. However, my problem is, I was expecting her to mature a bit more and fatten up before the chop. Is chop looking imminent here, fellas? She doesn't even look to have started fading and there are still plenty of white pistils :(

Anyways, here are some shots of her!

Would be great to get thoughts on how long you think she's got left :)

Day 67

Ok, we're coming in for landing here now! She's starting to fade nicely, but my issue is, she's too pretty to chop down! Can I keep her as a house plant instead of chopping? :joy:

Jokes aside, here are some snaps from today.

First image (tower fan for scale?):

I think she's going to be ready very soon, and I could probably even chop now if I wanted to, so I'm going to start on the plain water feedings now and let her really drain them leaves. Trichomes are all cloudy and potent, but not much amber (if any) just yet). 1-2 more weeks lads?

Looking absolutely amazing. Love your grow space too

Day 69

She's so close, and she smells really good! The other half knows when the cabinet has been open for less than 2 minutes when she's in the other room! I removed another lower branch earlier this week and did a smoke test yesterday - felt like I'd been hit by a train, amazing to be able to say you've grown that yourself.

I actually backed out of my flush (mainly due to inexperience), and as I'm not using synthetic nutes, I'm sure it won't make a difference, so I've decided to give her some food up until chop (3/4 strength)... don't want to lose out on any potential swelling.

Ignore the scraggly branch in the bottom left, these type of branches are what I'm taking as samples.

Trichomes on the bracts look as though they are just starting to turn a very slight shade of amber in some places.

Cheers Dell! Yeah, I'm really happy with her shape, outside of the main cola. Next grow, I'll definitely get that under control to allow for a more even canopy. I only tied the main stem down once which was my issue.
