Was looking for some help with a set up. I have came across said kit for sale including,

I will email and ask for 6inch filter upgrades and a digital ballast. I am just looking for any recommendations on this set up. I am in the uk the size of the tent I am certain of as I will only be growing 4 plants max. i am just looking for any help on a set up probably £400 max in budget.

Has anyone recently bought kits and would be able to point me in the right direction uk preferably.

This would be my first grow ever and any advice would be helpful.

Hey mate,for a 1.2x 1.2m tent a 5 inch extraction is plenty. Digital ballast is worth upgrading though.
Check ebay and amazon for best prices, even price it all up individually just to see

Hi New, growing in soil is fun! just make sure you use garden lime, and your setup looks cool .. Don't forget a fire extinguisher .. very important!!!!

Thanks for the help been reading about and 6" was suggested to control the temps running a 600w hps in that size of tent.

I have been browsing both Amazon and eBay but not sure on the quality of what's offered.

If anyone can pm me any websites that offer complete kits would be good. I have searched and seen a few and some have bad reviews. Websites etc.

The equipment is where I am struggling soon as I get that right I will be fine.

The 5p's come into mind when starting out haha.

Something about piss poor planning prevents piss poor performance but that's 6 I can't remember haha.

I got a similar tent for half the price on ebay, and the quality was the same as the one you posted. I'm in the US though, but I've found that grow equipment is cheaper on ebay. Amazon has good prices for grow mediums and nutes, but I like ebay'ing for grow lights, tents, ballasts.

Obviously I'm new to this so buying separate seems hard, kits are more appealing but saying that I could go for grow tent/equipment off eBay then get the nutes and soil separate.

I'm not fussed either way as I sAid good set up info is what I'm after. 600whps in a 1.2x1.2 tent is what I will be going for that's all I can say for definite. Dont mind paying a bit extra just not got the budget for LED lol

I use a Apollo 600 HPS ballast kit.. Ive had it 2 years and it just keeps on running.. I do not use the apollo Bulbs. IMO they make to many foxtails. I use a $75 dollar eye hurtilux bulb, and its worth every penny! If you cant get a Hurtilux bulb id go for the Ushio bulb..not cheap but worth it. Just a tip spend the money on a "good" bulb.. You wont be sorry..

Thanks for all the help I think I will stick with the 5" fans. After all it will be my first grow and I will learn what works for me and what won't.

I think there will be a lot of improvising, adapting and overcoming to be done haha

There is just so many variations different set ups different ways etc, I think I have the basics covered but I will keep looking and reading going to order end of the month. Plenty of time to find what I think is right for me and most important which strain to go for.
