I would cut those dead leaves. They are never going to improve and just suck resources from other areas of the plant like buds.
I cut all of the dead/mostly dead leaves. Everything I’ve read insists that mature leaves are providing energy — not requiring it. Where did you read that they suck resources? I left some of the yellow/green leaves for now. If they completely die, I’ll remove those as well.I would cut those dead leaves. I stopped believing everything I read about growing months ago and just started trying things for myself. But here is something in writing that may help clarify defoliating. Very good. Removed some more leaves today. I guess I didn’t realize how many they had. Thought they would be bare afterwards, but I was wrong. Hey Danielsaan - some lovely looking buds there.
For both plants, I would say there is a good 10 - 15 days left looking at the whole plants. When using the Loupe, look over a few different places and average it out. it is down to personal preference when it comes to when to chop - the basics are if the trich heads are clear it is too early and the plant is not ripe, msinly milky wioth some turning amber is a good place to chop as the dry and cure process will continue this to more amber over time, and finally if you go heavy on the ambers it is 'over ripe' but in theory will give you a more sedative smoke vs clear which is the opposite.
