New Grower *First Grow* Double Grape Auto by Mephisto Genetics(Autopot XL)

Day 8
Temp: 76
RH: 59%

Transplanted into autopots, and was scary af. The coco was not easy to handle out of the solo cup, I recommend having a friend or s/o give you a second set of hands
:pass:
I used hydroton on the bottom and on top of the air dome to try and keep the coco out of stuff. The runoff was pretty clean so I believe I did this well enough.

The autopot XLs are tall. 8 inches taller than the solo cup. So it pushed the girls up to 22 inches from the light. I left it at 50% and my MT-912 is reading 18K lux. Uhh..f### it I'll check them in a few hours. Here's some pics.

Down to bidness.

Fed both pots ~.75 gal because I was scared to overwater. It's decently evenly coated and I have 12" saucers under the pots that both filled up a couple inches from the top with runoff.

Recipe :
1/8tsp/gal Raw Silica mixed first.
1g/gal Megacrop
and finally 1g/gal Sea-K

5.6 pH @ 200ppm

Thanks for the push to transplant, I'm glad it's out of the way, @BII

Day 10
Temp: 73°F
RH:48%

I guess things seem fine for now. I plan on top watering for about 7-10 days and then putting them on the autopot trays, but I'm concerned that they're just...too small. I suppose I can't be too upset considering I haven't done this before but I've seen day 10 plants look a lot bigger than this. I see noticeable growth, so I reckon they might be okay. We shall see.

Just give them time! That's a lot of pot to fill up with roots, but those roots will give them the foundation they need.

I really appreciate you guys helping calm my anxieties. So, @Suki813 I remember you said testing runoff isn't practical, but I think that just might have been soil. In an attempt to find what pH and EC my plants want, I've been testing the runoff of the water I feed. Today, it was like at 2.0EC (1K PPM) and that's no bueno. I'm gonna rinse it with water tomorrow, but another issue I'm having is pH.
I fed a 6.0 to start, and now I can barely keep my coco below 7. I'm feeding at 5.4, 5.5, but the runoff will still be 6.7. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

Reabsorption was my issue with ppms. Make sure to raise your pots and allow the water to run off instead of sitting it in the saucer in runoff the entire day while you're at work like I did. Lmao. They seem fine, but I'll be rinsing them.

I'm about to do cal-mag, sea-k, and mc when I get off work I took this picture this morning and was all proud until I looked and saw the yellow :ill:

Hello have you calibrated your PH pen as those cheap go out quick and they dont adjust acording to temp of water

Just don't go killing them with kindness, your off to a good start there so best of luck. :smoking:
