New Grower First grow @Critical Purple Auto @600w Led grow @Need advice and help

Certainly, in the micro section. I would never suggest allowing any part of a plant to rest on a heat source. CFL manufacturing changed, the new bulbs are more compact and create excessive heat. The older ones were cooler and could be used in close quarters. It seems to depend on the company producing the light.
People still manage to work magic though, and that is who I am tailoring my auto for. Patients with tight, confined, micro spaces.

Thank you for response , I already invested a lot into this first setup so I guess I will have to work with what I have .

Mine never sank either but after about 36hrs some nice tails started coming out so I just planted them using some of the water they soaked in.

I'd probably give it 48hrs in the water then put in paper towel if still nothing. By 48hrs in water I would think you should see some signs of a tail popping out but they can take different times depending on lots of things. But yeah just leave it in the water no stress for now 19hrs is nothing lol.

Can anyone recommend me a soil mix to use with ffof to make it less "hot" . I'm too confused on happyfrog because amazon has too many options . I seen someone mentioned biobuzz lightmix but amazon doesn't have it :/...
Is this good ? If I put bottom half ffof and top half this ?

I decided to go with the paper towel route and grabbed a ziplock and wet paper towel and now it's resting on the internet router.

I am on my first grow so take this for what it is worth.. I use FFOF soil with nothing added, and I have kept off the nutes until today (day 31) and she good enough. I have a thread if you would like to check her out for yourself. I can't be of much help with germination though, as I have never used the paper towel method. I used a seedling starter tray with a dome and rapid rooter, waited until the seed popped and planted the rooter into the growbox (no light until she sprouted)

By the way, I also use one of the pre-built grow cabinet similar to yours. Be mindful of the temps, with just a 300w I had temps in the mid 90's at one point. With a 1000w I was around 100 all the time. I don't know if you have foam pads behind your intake/exhaust fans like I did, but I found those restricted the airflow too much to allow cold air in and hot air out.

Thank you so much for your post it motivates me to see someone growing in a very small case ...
Can you post your grow box pic ?
Also did you use any perlite with your ffof? Or just straight ffof?

Same here! I love when I find somebody growing in the same conditions as me! I hate to have to restrict them so much but discretion is number 1.

I bought this: http://unique-hydroponics.com/product/yield-machine-max-4-foot-ufo-grow-box-180-watt-led/

Way overpaid for what it is, but to be honest I didn't have to do anything except wait for it to be delivered so I'm happy. I did upgrade the fans inside tho. It was built for DWC but I decided to go with soil. Also I did not add any perlite, but I plan to on future grows.
