Thanks St. Tom. Good to meet you too.

So, I did the ponytail thing. Four hours last night and she has a ponytail on now. It does open the new growth under her head to light and last night those leaves seemed to grow well. But they may have any way. I dunno. I can't see that it hurts anything.

Soil still damp so no watering yet. Looks healthy to me.

I think that’s really neat. I’ll be working that in on my next round for sure, probably just for two days to start.

Yeah, I did four hours yesterday and I'll do four hours today. She's starting to stretch a little so I'll probably need to adjust light height later. I have the pot sitting on a stack of 1/2 inch boards so I can take one out and lower her a 1/2 inch. 1/2 can make a big difference with the t8 lights I'm using because they are pretty weak at throwing light very far.

I'll order an autocob after the new year.

So you’re going to spring for a cob? She is going to LOVE that! A cob a plant works. And it’s not as much of a hit in the wallet if you can forego buying your medicine.

Yup. The plan now is for a cob having been talked out of a blurple.

Not counting seeds, I've only spent $30 so far this grow. So yeah, the cost of the cob isn't hurting me any. I'm a bit weird I suppose and have a plan that is a bit weird.

Seeds and timer this month because that would get me started.
Upgrade light good enough for one or two plants in Jan.
Buy seeds for next grow(new strain) in Feb.
Buy another light(probably another cob) in march for backup and if I end up growing more than one or two plants.

And buy smaller items as needed like ph pen, microscope for trichs, any nutes like epsom salts.

But any of that can change at any time. I'll stick to it if my grow allows but if I fail(sick plant) or have problems I'll spend what I need to spend at any time.

I like to ease into things, lol.

Nothing wrong with that! Your weird plan makes perfect sense.

Week 3/day 21

I watered yesterday and it had been 13 days since the last watering. This soil holds water like a sponge. I see no sign that there is any root issues or overwatering though. No nutes added but I did water with peroxide. Once in a while I see a fungus gnat and while I don't think treating for them is necessary at this point the peroxide will help stop any root rot before it starts too.

Autocob is ordered and on the way. She should be sunbathing in it by the next update.

Leaves look good, she is showing sex and has started to stretch. It doesn't look to me that she is asking for anything. Let me know if you see something that I don't.
