New Grower First ever grow with what I have on hand

Just caught up... so glad you went cob! I grew under hid for quite a while, then a break. When I came back little over a year ago, I almost did the same thing...

BE PREPARED...COBS can be addictive...

Am running 3500k and very happy thru out grows, but am thinking of adding some 680 nm far red. Something something blah blah, Emerson effect...

Your lady is a happy one...the soil's junk,:pighug: so this one looks like a green thumbed gardner...

Subbed up.

I'll be over here in the corner...

Thanks Arthur!

Yeah, I'll be adding another cob or two down the line.

I'm pretty exited about my first grow and I check on my plant allot but I'm pretty sure I'll be a lazy grower once I get settled in. I'm hoping the junk soil suits my growing style.

When cheap works...

A long time ago I dropped my first seed... miracle grow, a couple pots... some hps lights from the hardware store and a closet oh yeah and fish emulsion... in a closet... it worked... kinda... but that wasn't much open knowledge in the 80s.

Just sayin... if that's what you can do in MG..... maybe you should change, you'll be even better.

I have a small farm. Horses, chickens and etc. with all the shit that they produce. Maybe I'll make my own soil at some point. Right now, all that shit goes in the vegetable garden.

The problems begin.

Since she started to flower I've notice some changes that I've been keeping an eye on. Dark leaves with a blue tinge to them. But she has blue in her name so I just kept an eye on it. Then some shiny spots on the tops of some leaves. Today some of her leaf tips are curled down 90 degrees.

Pretty sure it's N toxicity. Now that she's in flower she don't need much N. Might be a bit too much water contributing to the toxicity. Soil is still a bit damp from the last watering a few days ago.

My course of action, unless somebody has a better idea, is to do nothing until the soil drys some more. When the soil drys I'll water enough for a good run off.

I'm pretty sure @Arthur jinxed me and my junk soil. :bighug:Not really as these signs, except the curled tips, showed up days before but it's a good way to tag him to look at the plant and see if he has any words of wisdom for me.

Pics in next post.

Here she is. I took the pics under the cob and it washes the color out a bit. The leaves are much darker in person. But you can see the shine on the top of leaves.

A few of my leaves curl down like that too I wouldn't worry about it, as for the tops of the leaves could be wrong but might be light burn/bleach from led being too close maybe the auto cob guys can help.
