Day 19: ..and we're off! She was looking healthy and happy after yesterday's feeding so hopefully nutes are not too strong.
So the last 7 days, environment has been pretty stable. You can see the temp's have gone up a bit and RH down a bit after upping the light yesterday but I'm generally happy with where it's at. The moisture at the bottom doesn't go down steadily I'm learning, it just starts alternating between normal and low readings creating the red but you can see well enough when each watering happened and I think it is def helping me to avoid watering too often.
So finally begun some training. Used a couple of pegs to gently bend her and hold down the first lower shoot I want to grow out.
I've tucked the top leaves up with some rubber bands so the light can better reach the one I've pegged down and the two at the sides.
I took off the first lowest leaf that was damaged, my first prune!
Wondering if I should also take off the two at the sides which are touching the soil but have left for now.
Hopefully this will slow the top growth and get the side ones stretching out for a nice even canopy
Day 20: no water today, two bottom leaves on either side have shrivelled up so will probably take them off (first red circle).
After ponytailing the top leaves yesterday for about 9hrs will repeat this again overnight to let light get to the nodes underneath.
Might also take off the two learge leaves (second red circle) as they are blocking small nodes underneath which are not getting any light.
