The ladies got a feeding of 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2tsp Tiger bloom and the flowering lowryder#2 got 2tblsp of mollases in Reg water bubbled. The bigger sprout I said yesterday that I had to raise the lights for the 2nd time in 2 days, well today is day 3 and she was into the lights. Shes as big as my 7 week old lowryder, could this be the big devil?????? How big is it gonna get. I had to raise the lights on all of them again. The little ones are flowering already atleast 2 are, is this possible for 20 days old????? I'll get some pics up tomorrow, they'll prob get a bit bigger over night with the feeding they just got. Check out the dresser progress

OK, went over and put a few hrs into my new dresser cab, here's what I got so far. The top panel is where Im putting the fan and filter. Then in that back panel cover, Im cutting in a vent that the filtered air will exit. I was going to put the exhaust in the middle of the ceiling, or is there a better place????????. Im putting 2 pvc elbow for light traps and intake air on each side, probably 2 or 3 inch, so there will be 4 total. Since there is space under the dresser I will put them up through the floor into the cab. Im also going to paint and caulk everything. Then Im gettin to work on a cfl DIY light fixture. I'll post progress pics as I go. I glued every joint with gorilla glue that stuff is amazing, but it swells, so thats the foam looking stuff all over the wood, I cleaned it up it the last 2 pics. Im also putting a felt seal around the door and behind that top plate where fan and filter will be, That panel unscrews to have access in there. When Im done I'll sit and get into it and make the outisde look pretty. 3 ladies will be nice enough in there, give them room to grow.

Nice work jhn. Coming along smoothly eh? Make sure you cover up your pvc intake elbows with something to keep out pests and unwanted stuff. Panty-hose is a cheap and easy one. Make sure, while you're still building and fitting, that you leave some sort of access to those intakes so you can get in and clean them off if you should have to. I clean mine with a vacuum cleaner about every two weeks, just to keep the air flow as good as possible.

I assume you're installing your intake fixtures equally spaced left/right/front/back on the floor and not just on the left side or right side. If you are installing them left and right (or front and back), I'd put the exhaust in the middle on the top. Otherwise you'd have a one sided sort of air flow. If you only have the intake on one side, or only in the front or in the back, then you want the exhaust on the opposite side on the top. Intake bottom left, exhaust top right. Like that. Hope that wasn't confusing.

I'm looking forward to the new pics!

Thanks Noods. Im putting 2 on left bottom through flloor and 2 on the right bottom, so I'll put my exhaust in the middle in the ceiling dumping into that 8 inch space up top, it will then go through the filter that will be in that 8 inch space and will just be naturaly vented through a vent in that upper top panel on the rear of the dresser above the door. Picture 5 shows the cover off the fan and filter area thats closed off from the actual grow area........Oh Noods! yOUR SAYING HAVE LIKE ONE IN THE FRONT, ONE IN BACK, ONE ON THE LEFT AND ONE ON THE RIGHT, NOT JUST ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT LIKE I HAD ORIG PLANNED?? OR SHOULD i PUT 2 ON EACH???

Ok The sprout that has to be a big devil, But I dont know, is as tall as my 7 week old lowryder, and she just keeps growing. Next couple are a couple bud shots from the lowryder, Then you can see the 2 that got some side branching going on. The shot of the 2 with the one with the white pots are runts for some reason, the rest are either getting huge or throwing a bunch of side branches. Is that Lowryder gonna pak on alot more frost over the next week????? Is it normal for the others to be this big, and from what Im seeing, flowering at 21 days old??? Next feeding they will be getting 1-1/4tsp grow big and 1tblspTiger bloom 1table spoon Big Bloom, 1/4 tsp open sesame, and of course, 1tblsp of mollases. I decided to kick up the nutes since they just look like they want more, if anything happens I can always flush, correct? The lowryder will get her bubbled water with 2 blspn of mollases. Is there any kind of easy tea I could give them? homeade foliar spray??? Had to raise the lights again tonight another 2-3 inches, I cant believe what fast growth they have, its almost mind blowing

No, that's not what I was saying. I was only asking. Although if you did it like that, it would be cool and the exhaust in the middle would be fine. What I meant was that if you only have the intake(s) on the left OR the right OR the front OR the back, you want your exhaust on top to be on the opposite side. I didn't mean to confuse you. Sorry.

Your plants are looking great! The big cab you built looks like it might need to stay in play just a while longer...

There are a lot of different teas that you could make, the easiest being worm castings and water. Bubble it up 12 - 24 hrs and your good. Check out my two grow threads for some ideas. Do a search in our forum for "organics". Lots of guys are making their own teas.

You could do a google search for "cannabis foliar feed". Lots and lots of stuff out there. You have to read up on it a little and find out what the different ingredients are good for and what's available to you.

All of yer plants there are looking in excellent health dude, good job so far! So realy vibrant growth going on there. The lowryder ye have at about 7 weeks is about as big as my smallest ak that i just chopped, weighed in at 29grams dry. Yours is still pretty white looking so prolly could go another 2 weeks ish. Just because it is small doesn't mean you did something wrong, you get genetically different plants from the same mother and father so height ranges will vary. my 1 foot dwarf ak was from the same pack as a 3 foot sativa AK. Only 2 out of 10 that were different from the rest.

You are right that you can always flush, but i prefer to flush on a rare occasion instead of often as you are leaching everything out of your soil mix, all beneficial bacteria, most of yer everyday nutes but also a lot of the mironutrients.

People confuse flushing hydro with flushing soil. If you feck up on a hydro system it's a case of emptying out the water resevoir and replacing it with freshwater while ye mix up yer next batch of water/nutes. That flushes everything from the plant but replaces it with everything it needs too. Flushing soil just takes almost everything away.

If you overfeed in soil then instead of flushing you just plain water for the next few waterings, then go back to feeding. Flushing is only any use in soil if you think you have a nute lockout due to nute toxicity or PH problems. PH problems in soil are much rarer than in water as the soil has compounds in it that buffer PH back to the 6.5ish range (thats if you start off with a soil at that PH). Adding most nutes brings PH down so if you are feeding in soil with every watering then any issues will prolly be PH related, if ye wanna feed every watering then you have to ph the feed before it goes in. If yer not feeding every watering then you shouldn't have to flush or PH as the watering with feed will lower the PH quite a bit but by the next day it rises and by the time your plain watering it's almost back to normal, your watering should bring it back to the normal range.

if you have ever seen nute tables that show which nute is available at which PH. Soil has a sweet spot of 6.5 for getting almost everything but it's not perfect to keep a plant at 6.5 forever, it needs a swing from lower to higher to grab up some of the extra's from the soil that are just not available at bang on 6.5.

Because you have tiered you have put them into new soil meaning there should be plenty in that new soil for a wee while, you prolly are ok to not feed for a wee bit but if you do want to then make sure it is a tiny dose. A worm compost tea as noods states should be excellent or even just mulch some compost in around the top of the bigger pots so that when watering it drags the goodies down.

Thanks for the props Guys! And Riz very informative, your always packed with info as is everyone here, I've been buying distilled water from the store, Until I get my calibration fluid Im blind as far as knowing what the PH is, so I guess they're doing good under the circumstances. That lowryder is as tall as a 2 liter bottle of soda, and about 1-1/2 2liter bottles wide, shes looks like shes getting thick, was just wondering if I should trim any leafs to let the light penetrate some of the innner buds, yes, no????. Noods, with the worm castings tea, do they get that even with feedings, I feed every watering so was just wondering with your tea, and others I may find, if they can still be given them being I feed, also the same with the foliar spray, can that be used while feeding as well???, Is it normal for them to be flowering at 21 days old?????, the one in the white pot is a real runt, but the lowryder started off like that too so maybe she'll shoot up, I also rotate and turn the plants everytime I go over to them.....I decided to put a 2 inch pvc elbow on the floor, one on each wall in the center of each wall, so there will be 4 total. And Im cutting one 4 inch hole in the ceiling in the middle for the exhaust. I got some carbon sheets from the pet supply, so Im putting some over the bottom of each elbow under the dresser, and one over the vent that will be on the back of the dresser that will be venting the filtered air. Today Im hoping I get it done, and then its just a matter of waiting a week so I can order fans and filters for it, then the dresser wil be ready. I'll post my DIY CFL light fixture later, it came out pretty good, its 12 sockets total, just have to paint, put the reflector sheets on and drill some holes inbetween the bulbs for ventalation.

As far as the lowryder goes, shes got just water i her last feeding with mollases, being she may have 1-2 weeks left, does anyone recomend I give her one big dose of something? And if so, What, tiger, grow big or big bloom? And how much

Jhn, please don't go cutting off any leaves to help with light penetration. The less leaves, the less growth. Simple. It's better to tuck the leaves out of the way to let more light in. Just be gentle and, you know, use one finger, push that leaf down and a little to the right..., up under there...., good. See. Leaf is fine, light's getting to that bud site better now. When I get some leaf that's yellowed and not coming back, I take it off. Some people will leave them on till they drop. Just personal preference.

You asked why some people will "cut their leaves in half". One example would be where my Afghan stuck her leaf up(over) into the light. Half of one of the blades got burned and was crispy and brown. So you just cut that part off. The rest of the leaf is still fine and dandy. Down on the lower leaves, I accidentally squished a few leaves between the two pots in my cramped space. They turned yellow and then brownish on some parts. So the bad shit got cut away and the healthy stuff stays.

As far as Worm Castings in combination with other nutes: Don't make it too complicated. I'd advise you to just stick to the nutes you're giving them now, if it's working for you. You know the saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it.". That said, I can't really see the harm in using WC in combination with other nutes. Make sure you know your product. Does it have a lot of Mg, for example? Then watch out when using in combination your other nutes so that you don't cause toxicity from suddenly having too much Mg.
Just feeding worm tea by itself is safe as can be. It's a very mellow, all round nutrient source. You can use it often and liberally. There're lots and lots of goodies in there- lots of calcium, magnesium, zink, iron, and all the micro nutrients and things that your soil wants. It can be brewed and used as a foliar too. You can use it as a top dressing on your soil and then feed through that.

21 days is quite normal for them to flower.

I don't know how often you're rotating your pots. Sounded like you were doing it very often. What I do is rotate them every twelve hrs, 180°. This way they can really work with the light. If you turn them at say, 12:00, and that one flower is basking in the light and getting her sexy going, then two hrs later you come and turn her away again, she's like, "Hey F*er! Where's the light?!". That's just my 2 cents though. I don't know what's best there. That seems to be what's best for me.
:peace:

Edit: Forgot to mention that I do the pot rotating like I do with my lights on 24/0. I forget what your light schedule is. If you were on say, 18/6, then I would guess that if you turned them once a day, or every 18 hrs, you'd be good. No experience there. Just a guess.
