Air pressure inside that top box would build up with the filter blowing into it, only if it was sealed. It should naturally blow the air out the back of the box through the holes so i don't think you'll need fans there. your fans would be getting blown like a windmill from the flow of air from the 146cfm prolly.

To put in a 400 in the drobe i think you would need a cooltube reflector to get away with it heatwise. I know theres no budget for it atm, but might be a future upgrade.

Make sure the top part is sealed from the bottom part to be sure none of the airflow goes that way though.

Incense sticks or even lit joint or cigarette smoke can be used to show you airflow and ye can decide if ye need those extra fans pulling out of the exhaust section.

Did you know cfl bulbs give out most of their light from the sides not the end of the bulb? Think about this when you are considering how to mount the bulbs. CFL's pointing down are great in individual cone shaped reflectors, and are great horizontal with a reflective roof.

Plant pot sizes i reckon yer gonna have to make sure the plants don't get too tall so 6 inches deep maybe.

Thanks Riz. Im getting mixed responses on how many I can fit in this thing. I was hopin for 6 but alot are telling me no, just dont understand it being I see people with 4 in pc cabs. Anyway, The light pictured below is what Im doing for the dresser, 12 CFL's gonna do every other bulb veg and flower(2700, and 6500) so they have a 50 50 mix of the spectrums. Today Im going to get some pro mix as well for my next grow in the dresser. Went over to the grow today and I had to raise my cfls another 4 inches since yesterday, its like they exploded over night and the lowryder girl thats budding is turning more yellow, I believe shes coming down to the home stretch, just hope she gets thicker buds before all the leafs turn, I dont know if shes gonna make the expected 8 weeks, we're into week 7 and shes looking like shes gettin done. From here on out Im just given her mollases and water, I tell ya, shes stinkin up my buddys whole barn. And the bigger sprout that I think is a big devil is taller than the lowryder now, and the one pictured with the side branching was into the lights today like most of the others and I just raised them 3 inches yesterday, raised them another 3-4 today

it all comes down to the heat on how many bulbs you can run. The impact that intake temp makes can be huge. Does the room temp change much in the room it will be kept in?

The one and only true way to find out is to get it running and stick in a thermometer that can save a high/low. If you build in too many bulbs and it gets to hot it's easy to just take out a couple of bulbs, so aim for higher capacity at first.

looking very nice jhn. as far as that liquid light, i've heard very good opinions from long time growers on that stuff. one of my local mentors, swears that the Dutch Masters liquid light is one of the few truly beneficial foliar sprays available. i use all dutch master gold nutes myself. oh, and any fan will help you cool down. fresh air intake is key. happy harvesting.

Pretty much what I wanted to say. There is no fixed formula for how many lights will give what kind of temps with an x-cfm fan and what not. You might make some pretty good predictions with a pre-fab tent, but for the DIY cab and pc grows, its hard to say because they're all so different (bulbs, building materials, ambient conditions...). It's gonna come down to trial and error and test runs before you get the girls in there. An error often made, for which I am also guilty, is slapping the stuff together real quick to get it done and get the pots in there only to have half of everything "not right" and having to mess around with it.

I'm really happy for you that the new girls are growing fast. It's a pain in the butt raising the lights and having to rearrange things so often, but at the same time it's fun as anything! "Bitter Sweet" growing pains...

Hey wild, what exactly is the benefit of the sprays and when would you use them, Im using ff nutes so can that be paired with them? And Noods, I know what your saying, I rushed the big cab and am having nothing but problems, so Im trying to do the dresser right from the get go, and get everyuthing I need so Im not guessing whats going on with ph and stuff because I dont have the right stuff. Today Im painting the dresser and reconfiguring a few things, putting a big hinged door on the back. I guess for a first grow the ladies are doing pretty good with what Im working with so I cant complain, but I couldnt have gotten to this point without everyones help. Think we have anything to worry with this new bill they're trying to pass with the internet privacy act thing???? Was just reading about it. And THAI: I only have Fem seeds with the exception of a few reg Phenos that they sent me in the freebies. And riz, I guess I'll work on that hood today and like you said, I can always unscrew a few bulbs if I have to, I'd rather have to many than not enough, realy upset I cant use the HPS but until I get cash I have to use the CFL's, unless I spend some time and try and come up with a way to rig a cool tube thing out of it. I have a cheap HPS from HTG supply, $119.00 for a 400hps works great but the cords are hard wired they cant be unplugged from the ballast, I should have bought the cool tube version for the same price but I didnt think Id have any heat issues with my big cab.

Thanks Buddy, I have a ton of FF nutes left so I have to try and add the penatrator and liquid light in some how. Just came back from gettin needed wood and paint to get this dresser goin!!!

Should I trim any of the leafs off the lowryder so the light can get in there for her last week or so? And if so how many? I see alot cut the leafs alost in half, whats that for?

Have ye stuck it in, turned it on and let it run for a couple of hours yet? thats the only real way to tell, so before ye give up on it for now try it out just to see. ye might get away with it
