New Grower First AF grow, Northern Lights, Crit Mass, Cr Caramel and Af Kush. Heeya!

Squid - Forgot one point. I am looking forward to your critical mass. I have a seed. Debated about germing, but, looking at the volume it might (in my case "might" is the operative word) produce decided to wait. Looking forward to your pictures of it as it grows. Unfortunately, we have to be patient. :(

Yeah she is taking off pretty good. Starting her true leaves at just a few days. She's about 3 inches tall or more. My NL has pretty much halted to a stop. I have ph problems and need to get a good tester so I can get some help. Hopefully I will at least get these to the end so that I can start over fresh and better. Thanks Smiffy.

Anudder update:

So I just got done transplanting all four babies into the party cups. I think it went ok. Super scary and I never wanna do that again. Trial and error. Oh well. I hope I didn't shock them too much. The NL, which hasn't done much in days besides be yellow, the AKR and CreamCaramel had small roots that didn't go down that far. The Critical Mass on the other hand had a pretty long tap root. I accidentally snapped a little bit of it but there's still two or three inches of tap for a girl just three days old, especially compared to the others. Lowered the light a little since they're shorter now and gave them a little ph water and one spray of cal/mag. I really, really hope they make it. I know it was weird to transplant into smaller but it's so much easier now and when I do transplant and will tier. Much easier than a classic transplant, eff that shit. So we'll wait and see. I am working on getting a couple pics up soon.
2 of 3 bag seeds popped out after a day of soak and a couple days in dirt. Baby D(1st dank bag seed tester from the beginning) is looking about the same. Still yellowing but the new growth isn't as bad. Been feeding her ph water with cal/mag. That's about it folks. Last night after browsing a little more I have firmly decided to get a pack of Durrrty Dragons for my next grow. Can't beat that price with a stick and that way I can pollinate one of my females as I'm sure to get out a few males out of the pack and make myself plenty of DD beans for later use
Till next time...

Update shmupdate. Trying to keep it positive but I am just generally unhappy and aggravated with my first grow. I know it's my first but I just thought it would go at least a little better. All the girls survived the transplant which is good. I checked on them today before their nap. After their nap my AKR and CC were slightly drooping over. The cups were all pretty dry since they're smaller cups(18 oz). I checked the runoff of my first one. It was dirtyish and I did it with the droppers because I don't have a ph pen yet. I could at least definitely tell that it was reddish which is way too damn low. I raised the ph in my water some and gave them all a good watering. The NL that is yellowing and not growing I gave a low dose of the nutes(11 days old) I have which is Shultz liquid green food(10-20-10). But with the ph being off I don't know if it will help. I don't really know how it got that low. Must be something in my soil is kind of what I am thinking. The CMass is 6 days she looks the best. Like 3-4 inches tall but hasn't formed anything besides the first two true leaves. AKR and CCaramel are at 3 days. I am hoping I can fix my ph problem soon so that I can at least fuckin' grow these out and finish them whether it's a nice yield or not. Sorry to be such a bummer guys I am normally not like this, but this shit is bringin' me down. Gonna stop updating on my test subjects(bag seeds) unless something cool happens. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks guys. I don't wanna give up. I wanna finish these. But the thought of getting new soil, testing the damn ph before I even think about putting a bean in, having at least a decent ph tester, having a pack of Durrty Dragons and starting fresh is so nice and keeps me going still. I am still trying to post pics, don't wanna send them from my fiancee's iPhone anymore.

Hey bro dont be soo glum, tell ya what i may not be an expert but id suggest just watering without nutes and just use good ol water and kick back and try not to think about the plants. once i decided to just leavem alone they really picked up their growth. stressing yourself may reflect back on the plants.

Hey there man sorry you're frustrated... :buds: burn one and try to look at it like a learning experience, my first grows in life were not good at all, bag-seed from Mexican brick that I cut early.... Blech!!!!!
Now years later I have much less problems but am still learning, hopefully everyday!

Forgive me if I am repeating advise but:
At this early in the game (11-15 days right?) there shouldn't be any nutes involved at all with soil, so try just feeding PHed water, the litmus test is just fine for accuracy... if you have other seeds try running a few but not all in a different lightly nuted seedling mix and see how they look. Also transplants are a big enemy of auto-flowers if not done at the right time, to the right size container. The best possible thing that can be done with autos is a perfectly timed tier transplant setup, or planting in the container it will finish in.

Hey sf thanks dude. The NL is 11 days. she's the oldest. You're probably right it's a little early but she looks like she needed it. But it's just ph I guess, the nutes are there she just can't eat em. Oh well, it was a super low dose. It'll help or won't haha. She hasn't grown since day 3 of being above soil. None at all really. Damn sure no taller. I planted her too deep if you read the beginning but still. The transplant shocked them a little I would think and yes it was strange to start in 3 gallon and transplant to party cups but they were such a bitch to deal with; every time you try and move them the soil separated because those felt pots are soft and move about. And I couldn't check runoff because I couldn't water them enough to get any runoff. Unless there is another way in a big pot with a seedling that young to check the runoff ph. Hard to see the accurate color with runoff using the drops because of it being dirty. So I did this and hope that they will grow now and then I will tier them into bigger yet sturdy not felt pots, hopefully airpots.
Do you have any experience with Superthrive? I've heard it's awesome and I have used it for other non Cannabis plants and it works great. My main question about that is: Is it ok/safe to use a low dose of Superthrive added to your regular water from the very beginning? Seeds and all.
Sadly I don't have anymore AF beans on hand. Just two feminized photos I got as freebies. It sucks that I order six AFs and they give me two non AFs for free. I don't wanna complain but I mean obviously I am growing AFs so why not throw in free AF beans with orders? I'd rather have one free AF over two free photos. It is what it is I reckon. Thanks for your concerns man. I will keep going and do my best and chock it up to a learning experience for sure. I am surely trying to take the positive things out of the situation and run with them. Now I know. I am ready to get my new setup going. Definitely going to grab some starter mix and start them First in party cups and then transplant them into my soil, even though mine is pretty low nute, it's surely causing some of the problems, even if it's just the ph of the soil being low to begin with. I need to check that. I need $$$ for all these meters and tools and supplies. haha

Superthrive is used by many although I don't know about from day one; usually it's best to let the automatic seed do its thing naturally as possible in very low nutrient soil, or even a 50/50 blend of low nute soil and coco...

Where did you order your seeds from? sorry if you said already, I don't remember...

i wouldnt use superthrive on seedlings, but after they have gained a few sets u could use a drop per gallon. ive heard contradicting info on superthrive but ive used it and never had any problems with it. although i smells phunky. good luck bro my grow journal should be poppin up this weekend.
