Hey squidherb thought i would drop in and have a look at ur grow. I hope all is going well and i will definitly be watchin. just alittle side note all 5 of mine pulled thru they are alittle behind but are doing better.

Hells yes dude. Very glad to hear that man. Thanks for dropping by. Not so much going on now. Could be having some ph issues. Still waiting for my boy iLuv to help me out on my possible ph problem. Hope that it isn't the case or that it isn't too bad because the four AFs I have in the dirt now are all I have and I would be super disappointed if they didn't make it. Not like I thought my first grow would be awesome or anything but I hope to at least be able to finish them off. Later man

no doubt, ive grown a few strains. ive grown 3 bagseeds,one skunk#1. and ive never checked ph. ive never had a problem with ph, and i dont even check. this time around im using botanicare readygro bags. just coir,perlite,humic acid. i just hope that it works good and ph doesnt fluctuate much. Ive got my fingers crossed that you finish your grow bro.

Yeah I follow a guy on youtube that almost never checks ph and he grows photos. Great stuff too. I think maybe monitoring the ph is more of a concern with AFs because evvvveryone on here raves about it. So I know it's important unless this is your 100th grow and you're using the exact same methods, soil, lights and nutrients. I can see where that would allow you to check less. It's a common problem when you're new to the game like me.

When using the water dropper method to determine ph the only time it can be truly accurate is when your using water with a ppm of 0 since thats often not the case those droppers arnt very accurate. When the water your trying to test is full of debris or dirt like runoff it makes it hard to figure out the true ph. Ive seen countless people say they tested the water that way but when they used a digital ph meter the ph was way off. Try buying a yellow Milwaukee ph meter for like 15$ and that will be able to tell you with more accuracy what your ph is. This tuesday they will be 14 days old, bottled water is good just make sure you check out the manufacturers website for better info like which minerals are in there etc. If your buying bottled water for your plants next time you go buy water get a gallon of R/O treated water. (Revers Osmosis)

When you can tell us exactly what yor ph is then we can move on from there. In order to better determine what defeicny you might have we need to know what your ph is. Lol i was eaxactly like that too didnt check ph and didnt care too much. Then after wasting about 110$ inseeds and nutes etc. i realized that hey if a $15 ph meter will save me the hastle and money im wasting why not give it a try. Turns out ph is key, and with 15$ you save yourself the gut wrenching and headaches that are bound to come if ph isnt monitored correctly. i allways thought my autos grew slower, smaller than everyone elses just turned out my ph was off.

Hey man. Thanks for the response. I see what you mean about the droppers. I didn't know I could get a meter that was worth a shit for that cheap. Cool. My runoff I suctioned off so it was pretty clear of debris when I checked it. It has been fine(right over 6). BUT. I checked my gallon that's been there for about a week that I water with and it had dropped in the 5s. No good. I fixed that and watered again hopefully that will help. I gave that little bag seed baby a spray of mol/eps today, mixed in that same re ph'ed water.
I searched around about the distilled walmart water. Saw no negatives or evidence of any minerals and it was said to be good for plants. I did however read that their drinking water(green cap) is distilled and r/o. So would this be better? Sadly I just bought four more gallons of the just distilled today. Thanks for the help. I hope I can figure this out while it's still early.

Also, I've only been able to check the runoff of the plant in the little cup so far. It is the same soil mix as the others though. I don't really know a good way to check the runoff of the others because they are small seedlings and in 3 gallon pots. I have just been misting to water so far. Any suggestions?
