One thing I learned while playing with time lapse is the importance of a clear cup over the new sprout. Without it the growth slows considerably. With it you can see the growth over a small number of frames.
Was worried today about all three new, unusually tiny sprouts. Under my usual flat 4 pronged CFL they seemed to stall growth and the cots and tiny first trues curled in and darkened. I first worried about more fungus gnats but decided to put them outside for a while and within 5 minutes all the leaves were standing at attention and looking normal in color. Happy baby girls. Luckily I have another new bulb and will watch overnight. It's as if I lost a full days growth. This might be a blessing as this 6 plant grow will probably overfill my space. It is the only way to really evaluate the actual effective size of the LEDs footprint.and the optimal height in relation to it. It is going to be a jungle in there.
I got a wild hair and for the first time tried fimming the speed devils and Cheese Auto. Time will tell if I got it right, I've never done it or cut any auto. Probably not a great idea to start with a strain with Speed in the name but oh well.
I saw right off I would have headroom problems so I might as well deal with it early. I'd rather supercrop smaller colas that will stand back up than deal with an over sized main that won't.
Ha Ha Ha. So much for fimming, all it gave me was pre pruned leaves. Guess I didn't take enough. But it did slow their vertical growth through the first few days of stretch. That is almost as good. I'll try again on the other three taking a little more than the vid I watched chose. I copied the vid to a T thinking then I was too high up. I see the sweet spot now.
