Grow Mediums Fast Buds and Sweet Seeds

April 4, 2018

24 days old
Fast Buds, LSD-25, Fast Buds, Green Crack, Fast Buds, Six Shooter

The ladies are growing and all three have shown their pistils .
I will include a pic of the runt, the Jack 47. She is really not growing but I will keep here going.

The other ladies went on air domes and res two days ago. The magic is starting to happen. I filled one res with 12 Liters. I added 0.75 ml/l of the AN A&B as well as 1.5 ml/l of Cal mg. I am staying on the low side of the A&B nutes. They are growing great and I just want to be cautious that I do not give too much. Humidity is still in the 40's and low 50%. Temps are has high as 82F. The light is on 20/4 and is still on the veg cycle at 100% strength.

Here is the group shot

This is Six Shooter. She is now 6.5" tall. She is not as "nice" looking as her sisters but she will be just fine.

Here is LSD-25. She is the tallest at 9". In these shots I wanted to show her flowers and her darker top.

All is great in the tent. Thanks for dropping in ...
Looking good my friend. I have started FB strains on the reservoir when they are that small and don’t be shocked if some of them droop for a couple days. Sometimes all that water at the root zone takes them by surprise. I had a few react that way and they adjusted quickly. I love autos but they can be “sensitive.”

They are all standing straight at this moment and it has been two days. I like to kicked them on when the leaves are almost to the inside of the pot. So far it seems to have been ok. Thanks for your input.

I think it's the light height more than the breeder /strain or pheno that's encouraging the stretch. And if I were in your shoes (errr, tent) I wouldn't worry at all about stretch getting you into trouble. For one thing, you could move your fan and carbon filter onto the top of the tent with the help of a 6" elbow duct connector & that would free up another foot inside your tent.
And one of the biggest things I think I have ever done to improve yields was to start LST as soon as a plant stretched to about 12" or more. With a 90 degree bend trained into the plant you can bring a 36" plant back down to 12", and it will only take up 24" of horizontal space inside the tent. I've grown some monsters under my old 250W HID in my 2'X2'X5'3" tent, and have never been in any danger of running out of headroom. This improved my yields by opening up the canopy and encouraging all the side branches to catch up with the main top cola. Plant auxins did the rest - my BubbleGum grow had 30+ top colas and stayed less that 12" above the ebb n' Gro netpot.
If you find yourself in need & you've never done LST, I have some very good how-to photos I can share with you.
You're right about a long time to wait on a seed to germinate; my past auto's have ranged from 1 to 6 days; averaging 4. I did some more seed surgery yesterday, and this morning I made the call - "time of death, April4, 1:33pm". I'm afraid I got a defective batch of seeds; two out of three have failed & I have one left to start today. That's never happened before. If the third is a dud I'm going to write the seed bank and breeder.
The root riot product is great; same as my rapid rooter from General Hydroponics. I started using those in the early 2000's for seed germination and when I was really heavy into clones / SOG. Been very pleased with the results.
The girls are looking good, making me envious that I don't have any pretty new girls to show off!!! If this seed situation doesn't turn around for me I'm going to run for president and start hanging out with porn stars.

My FB Green Crack grew relatively "hands off" using the exact same methodology (Hans, ph perfect, coco and autopot) as you and I have a generally small tent 39"x39"x70". I only had to supercrop the main stem about two weeks into flower. I did only gentle LST from the time it was about 8-10" and like @Olde School Player , I had a massive number of dense top colas and an impressive knot of nice buds all along that super-cropped mainstem. Total haul was 8.6zips. [epilogue I also had this plant blow roots out of the autopot and had to improvise a makeshift DWC in a bucket to finish her] Point is, I think you will reap ample meds from your GCA

Got to add her to my next order, C-99 and Green Crack are my daytime bests, just never smoked the GC Auto. Watching for smoke reports!!!

old school: I have grown FB Green Crack Auto and it is a very good smoke as well as great rosin. Starts off mild head buzz but keeps building to an up and aware buzz with good pain relief.

I did bend over the top of the two faster growing ladies. I use the wire that is coated with rubber. I really like the design of the auto pots. They have the big curved over edge and it is the perfect to hook one end to the plant and the other on the stem. I appreciate your offer on the pics. Feel free to post some here so others can learn. A pic is the best tool for learning.

I will also bend over the side branches and open up the ladies to the sunshine from my light. It is a true 400 watts being drawn from the outlet. It has very little waste to heat and that is good for my tent.

It is grow and learn with these autos. So I know it was a tough call to wait as long as you did but we all want them to pop. I agree you should let both companies know what you experienced. Any GOOD company knows what customer service is and how to help the customer. So I am glad you will let them be aware of your experience.

Love the root riots :joy:

thanks for adding to this thread. You have a LOT of info and I appreciate you sharing.

What a lady she was and an epic root blow-out. :holymoly:

Please clarify your "super crop" technique for me. What exactly did you do? Also thanks for following and making yourself be heard but not seen.:yeah:
