Hey everyone I'm just trying to get a general idea of what you all want to grow..What do you prefer..

if you want to post why you chose your answer feel free to do so

Thanks for voting!

ok here is the short answer.

An F1 is when you cross 2 plants that have different genetic backgrounds.

IBL means inbred line. That is when you breed plants with the same parental lineage together for several generations.

To get an F5 you would first grow 2 or more F1s from the same line and breed them together. The seeds from F1s would be F2 and so on.

S5 is similar to F5 but yougrow several F1s and choose the best female. Make clones and breed it with itself several times.

Righto, completely out of my depth here as I thought.

If I don't know what they are then I probably don't have a favourite :stylez rasta smoke:

It's all good bro, I guess you would just be in the "it doesn't matter" group. Feel free to vote, every opinion matters to me.

As I'm new to growing I suppose it doesn't matter to me although the 3rd choice would be the one I would be drawn too now I know.

As you grow more you probably go to the top of the list for more of a challenge/control.

nice poll evol.
currently i would be a boring old sod and go S5 lots of plants same height size and bud struture.

I also like shorter plants if you wondering 50 -70 cm

I may change my mind at some point but right now uniform growth is spot on.

Peace

since auto flowers are far more often bred than regular plants especially in our environment here id guess most would want many phenotypes to play with. but in my mind a more stable strain is preferred since i want to get exactly what is being advertised with no surprises. i think the majority of average growers want that too.

I'm in the same camp - S5+ all the way for me.

I have a small space to fit 1-3 plants in, if i see something i like then i buy it and hope it will turn out that way.

I can see the attraction of different pheno types, (and often get them regardless of what i'd like hehe) but in an ideal world for me, the plants would turn out almost exactly how advertised, and i would get my "variety" by choosing different strains.

Nice poll! ^_^

Evol, disagree fundamentally with your poll...F1's should be fairly uniform if the parents are sufficiently genetically diverse (think white widow...Brazil x India= very different gene pools). You would end up with 3 main phenos...a mom, a dad, and a hybrid pheno. F2's are the freaking mess as you'll see a lot more variety until you reach a stabilized IBL at F4 or F5...or F13 as is sometimes the case!
