The title is my question i got both and iim at day 53 of auto cheese and auto ak47. Witch is best and will the super hps en even work in my balast correctly as it says only for a specific ballast
Can someone plz help i just seen that this whole grow i had a cheap inter lux bulb in. I also have these other 2 bulbs witch one is tue best to use. Can anyone tell me witch one is better for witch growth stage i dont have the box for the eye hortilux so i cant compare by the boxes i only got tue box to the super hps en
if you cant answer either question then I would but a brand new bulb anyway as HID bulbs are really only good for 1-2 grows anyway and soon need replacing.
As to wether the HPS super bulb fits your ballast, by the look of it yes, but unless you are sure or dont mind losing the bulb, then I wouldnt plug it in, HID is very high voltage and its best not to fuck about unless you are sure.
Well i didnt mind losing the bulb as i have 2 others but its workin i just wanted to know witch one had the best inital output and best spectrum for my plants and stage of growth as they both have about the same time on them witch isnt much they barly had any blackenin at the base of the bulb they look like they may have been fired up for maybe a day or so they looked almost new. I just wasnt sure if the super hps en had the best spectrum as i know they eye is good but the super hps en is also by hortilux eye just one says enhanced spectrum. So i guess my question is witch has the best color spec for me at my growth stage and is one good for flowrr and the other veg if so id switch accordingly
I believe the super has the expanded blue spectrum. If so, then it's good to grow full cycle as the extra blue will help in veg. To be sure, I'd check with Hortilux. They should also be able to tell you if they are compatible with your ballast.
Sorry, but that is incorrect. Most bulbs are rated at 24,000 hours. As this chart shows, they start to loose efficiency at around 20,000 hours and by the time they reach their rated life, their output has decreased by about 50%. Growing autos on a 20/4 schedule a bulb should last for about 2 1/2 years or about 10 grows.

thnx muddy so i should use the regular hort eye bulb then right. Ill swap to that one tonight. As im at day 54ish i would think i dont really need the blue right now.right?
