Well,

Thanks I figured. If they dont respond after I ask about a website at all then usually it's the case. I just hope some new guys on here aren't getting taken advantage by people like them.

I think "accreditation" is a great idea...
a Cannabis Seed Breeder's Guild if you will..very similar to accounting or financial service industry where designations/endorsements are made to those who meet certain standards.
Think if the Better Business Bureau (BBB)..Dues would have to be paid by the breeders to monitor..Undoubted, all sorts if people will pop out if the wood work to volunteer to collect such funds..

The challenge is economics..How much is enough money to monitor complaints or ripoffs to hold breeders accountable?and does it inhibit the small guy

Sometime a simple list can be enough to keep people in check...A website where growers can expose bad stories...names of those breeders being consolidated for the good of all...

Problem there again is: He said, she said..You get some rookie grower who hasnt a clue how to properly sprout seeds intent in skewering the reputation of a breeder...How do you confirm, resolve and decide if breeder is removed from the guild? How do you screen complaints?

Up until the past few years...the system has been ok..as finding seeds from credible breeders usually meant poking around seedbanks..Those seedbanks, I assume punted breeder with too many complaints as it was merely bad business and a waste of their time offering refunds..

It'll sort it out at some point...call it The Cannabis Collective...an agency that monitors complaints and consolidates reputation scores of breeder..This would be a free service to growers (to research credible suppliers) funded by a small contribution by breeders to get accredited annually...Complaints would be investigated by the agency..

Its going to be tough..Plants breed and evolve very quickly..Environmental differences around the world complicate the growing dynamic...How do you monitor something that changes so rapidly? Sure when someone buys a few beans that are suppose to be f6's and has 3 different phenos..wtf? You certainly question the generational line..but how do you monitor?

Personally, I think it comes down to a naughty list for breeders...A small fee to get put in to keep the riff-raff out...and simply a plus minus system with comments where those criticizing have to provide some sort of proof of purchase to give their 2 cents.

just some thoughts..

Good dea
We have not started testing with them yet, but yes Dragon Seeds did reach out to us about sponsoring some growers on here to try out their seeds.
Good deal. At least it's not someone trying to Rip members off. This conversation alone should answer the original question of this thread. Yes, we need something for credentials.
