the nutes and flushing thing is debatable. i would wager you are going to be just fine chopping it without all the flushing.

Well I’m going to be able to run a little experiment with it anyway as the rest of the plant will have had some flush time by the time I take it down in a couple of days.

I also think I will be doing the wash method on most of the remaining (and healthy for now) plant too, so will be able to compare both factors come smoking. Would be nice to take some good info out of a bad situation

If you ever decide not to try to salvage it as smoking bud you can just strip the trichomes off by freezing the fresh bud and then put it through an ice water wash in bubble bags to make hash even when it has had bud rot. Or if you have dry ice available you can use bubble bags and dry ice. You can do that with just stripping the fan leaves off and running the whole plant.
