Pump can also be placed outside so no mods needed!:tiphat:

The are airpumps are good value for the money but certainly not the best!
I would suggest you take the V30 pump the rule is like 1l of water 1liter of air!

I would go for the disks http://www.h2osupplies.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=180

I would go with the enzymes en rizotonic, and boost from canna!

Wouldn't use final stage!

The ProFlow U500, is that for transferring water to/from buckets? Sorry I'm still a complete noob to hydroponics hardware xD

Could you recommend a good air pump please Soylent? There are dozens around and I can't tell which ones are good

This are one of the best airpumps ! Also very good price here, wish I could buy it here!

The proflow can be used for both purposes because it can be put in water and outside water!
Mine is inside the reservoir to make it recirculating and is also used to pump out the water!

Okay brilliant :) So lemme get this straight.

How to do a reservoir change (?)
*Prepare new reservoir
*Use pump to pump out water from old reservoir to a bucket
*Use pump to pump in water from new reservoir

Or..

*Prepare new reservoir in a second DWC bubbler bucket
*Swap with reservoir of first DWC bucket

Are both of those good methods of doing it? It's just I read that it's best to use clean reservoirs, if I used the same bucket with the plant from day 1 'til finish would it not need a scrubbing/bleaching?
Also, are roots okay for a little while if suspended in an empty bucket? Like if I needed to take the DWC bucket out from the plant for some reason, could I put it into an empty bucket until I bring the reservoir back or would it die quickly?

Oh yeah and one more thing. That JDK-20 air pump is perfect, but it has a 32 litre/minute volume transfer. Is that too much?

Use pump to pump out water from old reservoir to a bucket!

I never completely empty my reservoir( I believe its beter to keep the bacterial wildlife)

Fill the reservoir again using a funnel or a jug or pump it back in!

No risk in damaging the roots if you do it this way! if you take them out of the bucket your exposing yourself to damaging the roots.

use often enough enzymes to keep things working, avoid organic matter use mineral based nutrients.

mm are you going to use 2 buckets? For one bucket it is a bit of overkill!
