Dutch Passion Dutch Passion StarRyder grow by Seymour-buds

Yeah, it was one plant! LST'd her she gave alot of tops and very little popcorn, I followed your lead on the DWC LST apparatus, in hindsight, I would have made the screens more rectangular, but it worked. Check it out, she's been in the jar for a couple or weeks now and keeps gettin better and better. Cheers

Yeah Insert I couldn't resist anymore after seeing your stellar effort... 3 DP auto blueberry landed with me there on Wed... Can't get going yet coz of an upcoming holiday, So it'll be a blueberry Christmas this year...

Hey Seymour I remember reading one of your posts somewhere were you said BB was your fav strain... now I know you just work with auto's so this might be a silly question but was it normal BB or ABB you were talking about?? Or is there really much difference? They're genetic write up's on the tude's website are different.. With ABB being Canadian Ruderalis & BB being Blueberry..Y'know.

Edit: forget above question SB I've checked ABB genetics on the DP website...

she's looking good mate, and with another 2 weeks to go she will pack the weight on especially with both your LED's blazing her. We think this may be the strongest auto in our collection so far, so all those resin glands should make for a potent smoke and is contributing to the special smell you report - which I hope give it a good flavour too. The next 2 weeks are always the best in your tent Semour !
Hey tony, on the site it stands as 'Available from September 2012' would it say 1 September?

Seymour, apologies if i missed it earlier etc, but in addition to the TWD Qs above;.......You are on hard water so, when you add you nutes to res in total, do you use silica to raise the ph ??......which it is very good at. But with hard water you would still have to bring down ph right ?, what do you use for this that is friendly to the girls. it is amaizing how 250mls of down in 30ltrs can adjust 0,5ph around that amount, when tuning ph !! 1 half tsp in 1 ltr, nearly one molar solution !! ph down. What is in the canna ph down kit phos ??........

PH up ec down more feed
ph down ec up less feed
ph and ec stable = sweet spot yea....... AB......ps; new DP's test beans in fridge "Sounds Interesting" new strain SB ??...... or could it be the new "OUTLAW" ! 80% sativa nice......

StarRyder looking nice an snowy SB...........wow the yum yums are great geno we know, but these are nice bushy pheno's SB,...lucky budder !!........ukin Rolls Royce pair .........

both bottles of canna aqua read the same n-p-k so i use equal amounts , i know some brands do give different ratios on the bottles so its easy to give 30ml of bottle A and 50ml of bottle B to increase nitrogen for example but i have no idea on what each ratio is in the canna aqua, like i said im dropping canna aqua after this grow and switching to 3 part genesis as that has way more feeding options as you can create your own n-p-k ratios

with canna it has base of something like 6-3-4 so in order to change the ratio id have to add extra phosphorus or potassium to get a reading of 6-6-10 if that makes sense but i have to buy the extra additives to be able to do this so its not cost effective, even the general hydroponic with the lucas formula is by far a cheaper alternative and you will hit right canna ratios for the whole grow

as for the ph down its pretty simple you can use canna ph down which is nitric acid which is nitrogen that the plants use in the veg stage and in flower you can use phosphorus which is obviously what the plants use in that stage of the grow, with autos they dont spend that long in veg so it doesnt matter which you use ive had good results using phosphoric acid as a ph down

ill drop some pics in here later of how the girls are doing

cheers

just to go a little more indepth regarding the ph down using phosphoric acid... i used to use this chart as a guideline to tell me what elements are available at what ph range and you can see that phosphorus is available above 5.8 so by keeping your plants in the range of 5.7 - 5.5 while in veg it doesnt matter about the ph down, when they go into flower you move the ph range up to 5.8-6.0 so more phosphorus becomes available to the plant, obviously this grow is a prime example of what happens when the plant is out of the ph range

i suffered cause my ph was below 5.5 when the starRyder was in flower when it should have been 5.9 which forced her to pull on her reserves to sustain her need for p , if id have had her in the desired range she would of stayed green all the way through till harvest, since ive got everything back on track the yellowing stopped and she started to turn dark green again

heres some pics of the starRyder and the yum yums, i cant remeber what day im on but its got to be 70something, its been a mad weekend for me and ive only just started to come back down to earth lol

blueberries are on 1.4 ec and the straRryder has been dropped to 1.4 and no more pk additives for her as ill be taking her down within the next 14 days, also notice the slight foxtailing of her flowers due to me hitting her hard with the potassium, massive debate about what causes buds to foxtail some say its strain related others say its due to high temps and ive found its due to the amount of potassium used cause when ever i use superior potash in high dosages it always has that effect on a strain and i did throw quite a bit in her res to try and squeeze something out of her
