having a tie up your plants to prevent them collapsing under their own weight, its the ultimate luxury problem for the competent home grower :)

So apart from the final weight of Serena (nice one dirtbag!) in a week or so that about wraps this grow up.
Well almost.. You know Tangs guide Ive been following?
Yea you should by now thats all I bang on about.. Tang this, Tang that :)

Well in his guide he uses Plagron Light Mix soil.
I had a mountain of Plant Magic Soil Supreme, so just used what I had and then kicked in with Tangs feeding guide a week or so later.
Plant Magic soil is definitely hotter than light mix and can last 2/3 weeks without any nutes.

So curiosity got the better of me and I put on a few AutoUltimates in with some fresh Plagron Light Mix I bought.
I was dying to see if things would be much different or not. These plants went in about 20 days after my first batch, there just coming up to 70 days now and oh my god this have got nasty!!! :)

They were placed in the side of my room, not under direct light as crop one held pole position.
As the first lot were chopped these ladies got bumped up directly under the lights.
Again I have some big ass tall girls and the same for some of the wide bushy pheno but also perhaps with the lack of top quality light I have some mid sizes smallish plants but these are kicking out Soooo much resin and smell, I think the lack of light has held them back in growth but they are doing there best to make up for that in dense quality cola's.

Also its worth knowing as before some of these AutoUltimates finish real quick, I have a few of the Plagron girls on water already as there looking done and ready for the knife :) Im talking 60 to 65 days and already begging to come down.
Still Im amazed at what this plant can do.

So before I sign off this grow, I will report in on a couple of the Plagron girls and lets see how things come out..
Its like the pepsi challenge but with soil :)

Dog down... This is a MAYDAY !!!!
Bud rot in the house yoll :(

Just done my nightly checks and some real big cola's just been lost.
Fuck whats the deal with this bud rot?

Is it strain?
Time of year?
Ive got average humidity at 30/35%, rising up to 40% after feeding.

I opened a thread on this a month back Im off to bump it back up...
Tears before bed this end :(

Its annoying isn't it? My girl was outdoor - searing sunlight, daytime temps of between 28 and 34C nighttime temps between 25 and 19 and I found a spot of bud rot on my main cola on Monday.

Why does this happen?
Is this like a government thing, are those drones spraying spores out everywhere?

It is not strain, it is not time of year if you have so low humidity, it is the fatness of buds you have got, bro. It is hard to aerate fat cola.

Budrot starts from a point inside bud, so at the end, damage in not as big as it seems at the first sight. It does not get overall as mold.

Good Luck!

I fear it's got more to do with the nutes and 'help' we give the plants. In my 'oil services' days when I was globetrotting, I saw landrace grown by the locals, and I never saw colas and buds like one sees on Canna growing forums. I suspect the incidence of bud rot is got a lot to do with how big and dense horticultural canna gets..... Just a thought.
