She not as big as the Blueberry.. That's because she wasn't getting as much O2 pumped into her res as she needed/wanted, That's not an issue anymore.. 60L per min now..
She'll maybe stretch a little more but I'm sure she has slowed way down with upward growth in the past day or two..

Anyways she'll come good.. I've lollipopped her a little more.. After these pics were taken, But that's it.. No more..

Auto Mazar.. Come on you little beauty!!

Ok guys.. I've neglecting this thread a little.. With drying the blueberry & Xmas with family etc... But I'm back now to keep you's all updated..

So my mazar has been on her changeover to bloom ratio since last Saturday.. Basically I've dropped the grow part down to half... Tomorrows change it will be cut completely..

Now this plant has me scratching my head.. Her pH is always creeping down... Yet she shows me cal def... If her pH is going down it should mean her feed is too strong... But if she is showing me cal def it tells me her feed is too weak?? I'm getting both scenarios... Eh??

I have a theory.. Probably nonsense & I might look like a tit saying it.. But when have I ever cared about looking like a tit??

So here goes... As I said... pH drop = feed too strong... Calcium def= feed too weak..

Now whenever I mix up a res with these Genesis nutes... The pH drops like a stone from around 7 to about 3.7... Mental I know... It takes a FULL pipette of pH up to bring it into range again..

Now normally if your pH is rising it means that the feed is too weak & the plant is breaking down the P in the pH down & using it as food meaning the pH buffer is getting weaker which in turn raises your pH... Makes sense really..

But I'm wondering (Now this is one for Seymour or some cat like that who knows what they're talking about)... Because my pH drops like a ton of shit... Would the pH in my bucket not now drop if the feed was too weak... & the plant was breaking down the K in the pH up??? Sounds daft but its the only explanation I can come up with. I've no root rot.. They are brilliant white..

I've had this girl on 2.0 EC since Saturday... But she's been showing cal def all week.. pH creeping down all week.. I upped her res on Boxing Day to 2.2 EC... Now she looks greener & happier at that but pH still creeping down... I'll maybe have to give her 2.4 in tomorrow's fresh res..

Here's a few pics.. Just before lights out Day 46... Spot the cal deficiency... Grrrr...

As I've said before shes not as big as the yum yum due to lack of enough O2 early on in her life... That won't ever be a problem again.. & I'm still expecting 4 zips of her no probs... 10oz from 2 plants will do me..

She is really starting throw a lot of pistils now so it's game on.. If I can find her bloody sweet spot!!

Peace out chums..

PH issues is pain in the A. If you have some rizotonic you could use it in place of ph up and didn't worry about to much of ph+. How big is the fluctuation in ph?

It drops from 5.9 to 5.7-5.6 I don't know if wants to go further as I usually raise it then.. It's confusing that her leaves are saying too week but her pH is saying too strong...

I'm really starting to think that my theory might be correct & this plant is eating the K in the pH up (it's potassium hydroxide I think) next res she is going onto 2.4 EC... She is drinking 4-5L in 24hrs now..

I'm not too worried about the pH drop I'm more worried if I'm underfeeding her.. Although I think the symptoms are going hand in hand here.. I just want to get her stable & in the sweet spot... I'm learning more & more everyday with this hobby..

:bong:

My theory must be nonsense... Surely??

PH will stay mystery for me (I made so much theories and none of them was 100% correct). Why didn't we chose to study chemistry :D :roflcry:
