How are you making the oil Duckster? Are you doing an oil infusion or an extraction with a solvent?

If you do solvent extraction you can use them as suppository's and make the oil go a lot further when mixed with coco butter/coconut oil. Its not the nicest way to do things but it eliminates the high and is more bio-available than the oral route. I am having much better success with my dad with suppositories. He is still using the oral route but before bed then doing 2 suppositories (1 in morning and 1 in evening). He has only been taking the really high dose in the last week but he seems to be getting a lot more energy!

Check this image it has the comparisons for the method of ingestion. Just food for thought!

The bud is "cooked" in coconut oil at 200-220F, so I assume that is infusion.

Yea you get some potent oil with coconut oil that hits really quick! When I have had infused coconut oil it hits within an hour

That's what she says that she is getting. Comes on in 30-60 minutes. Not really a head buzz, just a super relaxed pain relief feeling. She say that a spoonful works as good (if not better) than a 10mg hydrocodone. She's a happy camper. If she's happy, I'm happy. lol:smoking:

Made a 24oz batch of oil for the wife today. Used the last of the leaf, bout 25g, and 35g of WW buds. Used a potato ricer and a vacuum filter to help with the straining. It sped up the process some but still a pain in the arse.

Can you buy those vaccuum filters online? I cant find any on Amazon or Ebay,
Do you keep the oil warm to keep it thinner as it filters?
Cant wait to get started,i recently found out i have COPD so ive got to try and cut down or stop smoking.
Im hoping the oil will make me cut down at least.

Yep the oil is still very warm when I start to filter. This is where I got mine. https://www.pelletlab.com/filtering_kit I just got the filter flask kit as I already have an electric vacuum pump. They sell a kit that includes a hand vacuum pump but I don't think I would want to use a hand pump for oil...too much pumping. lol Spent about 4 hours experimenting on the best method. You should be able to find the filter flask and funnels at any lab supply shop.

Well after six weeks in the jars the trans Siberian has taken on a fruity smell but the flavor has not changed much. The buds seem to have gotten a bit denser. The buzz is good but doesn't seem to last more than 1.5hrs. A bit of a head buzz at first which quickly turns into a body couch lock thing.

The white widow is smelling better too or maybe I'm just getting used to it. Again the taste is meh. The buzz packs a bit of a wallop. Kind of fogs the brain and body at once. Buds still fluffy though. Only got about 3/4 of a jar left, the rest went into a batch of oil a couple of weeks ago. A bit more debris in this batch than I'd like but I think I have worked out the bugs in my filtering. The wife is still loving it though.

Will be filtering a batch of tincture in a couple of weeks and will update then.:smoking:
