Auto flower Grow Guide
Seedling Stage:
- 3 or 5 Gallon Pots: Fox Farm Ocean Forest 75% & 25% Perlite Mix.
- Weight Pots When Dry & Saturated ( write these down )
- Flush New Soil before planting seed directly into the soilless mix.
- Seedlings generally take 3-4 days to sprout – place dry seed into the soil 2-3cm
- Set under lights to start adjusting the soil temp's to the grow room.
- Wait 7 days before first watering
- Add a layer of perlite or sand to help water erosion and exposing bare roots.
- Water every 4-5 days when seedlings
- NO Nutes until week 6 with OF
- 18/6 Lights for the entire grow.
- Temp for seedlings/veg 75*F
- Humidity for seedlings/veg 50%-60%
- Sex generally will show 14-25 days in
- Start LST around day 14-20 to keep the plant low and wide to use all the open space.
- Test Soil Run Off Atleast Once a week after week 3
Potentia Hydrogenii Testing
Water Notes:
PH Tap Water - general hydroponics ph down
My personal Tap water : 7.0ph 43ppm
0.10ml PH down : 1 Gallon Of Tap Water = 6.8ph
0.20ml PH down : 1 Gallon Of Tap Water = 6.2ph
"...Soil PH testing Notes:
Calculation->>> If your runoff pH is higher than your starting (water) pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference
--- If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.
For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5
If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5 ..."

Lighting Notes:
- Lux Levels for Optimal Cannabis Growth:
- Vegetative - Max: 70,000 Good: 40,000 Minmum: 15,000Flowering - Max: 75000 Good: 60,000 Minmum: 35,000
- 250watt hps/mh setup = enough for 2/3 plants max. In a 4x4x2 Tent
PreSex Notes:
- Males: Tend to grow faster and will show sex sooner ( round balls/clusters of balls )
- Females: will have a more elongated calyx that tapers ( Pistillate Primordia )
- Male auto flowers: Remove from Female Grow Room/Collect and save the males pollen for making seeds.
- Topping: - Right before the pistils show (pre sex) If needed to keep the plant short.
Nute Notes:
- Mix Nutes INTO the water, do not add water to the nute mix.
- Generally 2000-3000ML of Water for a 3 Gallon Pot = Enough per feeding.
- Example: Out of 3000ML Of Water/Nutes for Week 8
1000ML of a full dose Big Bloom:1 Gallon of Water Mix
1000ML of a 1/2 Dose Tiger Bloom:1 Gallon of Water mix,
and a 1000ML feeding of a 1tblsp:1 gallon of water mix.
- More is NOT Better ~ Start at a low dose and watch the plant over a few days for nute burn.
- Mix/Shake well to help oxygenate the water.

PPM Nute Mixing Levels
"...PPM levels chart:
Seedlings, Early Sprouts – 100 to 250
Early Veg’ Stage – 300 to 400
Full Vegetation Stage – 450 to 700
Early Blooming Stage – 750 to 950
Full Mature Bloom/Ripening Stage – 1000 to 1600
PPM = 1,000,000 mc / ms (1)
where:
mc = mass of component (kg, lbm)
ms = mass of solution (kg, lbm)
PPM can be also be expressed as:
- 1 PPM = 0.0001%
- 1, 000 PPM = 0.1%
- 10, 000 PPM = 1% ...."

Late Veg/Early Flowering Stage:
- Feed plants Every 4 days, and flush every 3 days to remove salt build up and keep soil ph at correct levels (6.5-6.8). Set up a schedule in google calendars for a reminder when dealing with multi plants on different secludes.
- As plants get older they use more water, If the pot is light ~ Water it.
- Temps for Late Veg/Flowering 75*F
- Humidity for late Veg/flowering 30-40%
- Rotate Plants 180* every 48-72 Hours for Entire Late Veg/Flowering grow.
- Cal/Mag/Nitrogen Deficiency's are Common
- Continue with LST/Bowl Training – Be gentle at this stage.
Flushing Notes:
"...There are three basic times/reasons to flush:
- Pre-Harvest Flush- If you're using Clearex then you can flush as close as 3 days before harvest. Other methods should be done a week to 10 days before harvest and repeated three days later.
2. When you dramatically change the nutrient schedule- usually when you start Flowering, some flush entering Veg as well. This is a preventative flush. Again - not mandatory, but not a bad idea. Also, in soil, this is about the time the plants have sucked all the nutes from the soil, And before you go jacking it up with your own mix - its not a bad idea to sort of zero it out.
3. If you are experiencing Nutrient Lockout. Usually (NOT ALWAYS!) when you have a dramatic nutrient imbalance the cure is not to try to figure out the exact one, but flush the plants, and add a fresh WELL BALANCED and MEDIUM STRENGTH dose of nutes. Now don't go flushing at every burned leaf or tinge of yellow. Use common sense. But if you see dramatic problems, and there are no obvious signs of another problem like heat, cold, grey goop in the res, root rot, etc - then its prolly not a bad idea to flush the plants and re-fill the res..."
How to Flush
- Step 1 - Drain your res and refill. Add Clearex at about 20-30ml / Gallon. pH balance to 5.7-6.2 depending on whether you're hydro or soil.
- Step 2 - Run this mix through your plants. If you are doing containers you want to achieve significant runoff. Far more than your standard watering. The bottle calls for AT LEAST 80-90% runoff. So if you have a 5 gallon pot, you will want to put 3-6 Gallons of water through depending on how dry the soil is when you flush, and how much drainage. With a little experience with your soil you can skip the rest of the steps and call it done right there. If you really want to be sure then use the ppm measuring described below.
If you are doing hydro, saturate the system for 5-15 minutes then allow it to drain back to the res. No need to drain the res.
- Step 3 - Measure the ppm of the runoff.
- Step 4 - Run the same Clearex/water through again.
- Step 5 - Again measure the ppm of the runoff. The ppm should be the same or higher than the first time. This is because you are sucking all those excess nutes out.
- Step 6 - Keep repeating this cycle until you see little to no change on the ppm. For me this is usually two times, sometimes three.

Just finishing up with my first autoflower grow ~ and this is What i will be using the next time i run. I had some P/K Issues with another guide so adding a longer period of Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom. Should hopefully help out some people who are looking to get started.
Thoughts feed back?
Happy to make adjustments if you see anything Majorly off. ~ Everyone Does it different , so provide valid proof with you're claim please.
