New Grower Dr. Feelgood and KVS Flowering Question

:slap:
Some Rep slappage on a great workspace.
I'd kill to have a long bench like that in my grow area.
Odd branching is always a good thing in my eyes. More budsites.
Looking forward to your harvest!

Thanks, Ronin! It felt good to finally clean that place up. Of course, the really cleaning will come when the snow is gone and it's warm enough to bust out the hose (my flood tray is getting nasty). We may have a month or two before that happens still!

Yeah, some of my funniest looking plants have produced the most! I hope I do have to tie her up when she starts budding :)

I'll update when anything exciting happens. Now, the waiting game begins. First night of 12/12 tonight.
Have a great weekend! :Sharing One:

Hi Nordy,
In my opinion you are making a mistake by switching to 12-12. If you have only done it for a day or two I would switch back to at least 18-20 on. I guess you can see what happens at 12-12 as an experiment but autos need good hours of light to develop well. Dr. Feelgood are S-L-O-W. You have preflowers, you're good. Search my "I Like Dr. Feelgood: Grow Experience" thread in the Breeder Stitch forum. The photo is one at 130 days, at harvest time (if you can not view the large version of the photo it is also in my photo album). Grown under 20 hours the whole time. All good autos are like this and you have some good strains there. But they need patience.

Well, shit. I'll go flip them back on as they just went off 45 minutes ago. I know I'll be happy when all is said and done, but this sucks right now. These things are not as advertised. What's up with the Kush Van Stitch doing the same as the Feelgood? Funny, both strains I order are the ones that tend to do this. Wish I would have known before I placed the order.

Thanks for the heads up, Mad Scientist. At least I have the side area set up for growing a couple more plants now.

alright, back out to the room. At least I don't have to watch Despicable Me with the family ;)

Nordy, you're a funny guy, I would like to visit Alaska and party with you,
Do me a favour though and roll a fatty and chill. You go this bro', patience man. Trust me, wait them Dr. FG's out and you will be glad you did. You have some other great plants brewing there. You're obviously a smart guy and are doing a great job. Auto words of wisdom, Do not overfeed them and keep the light to them (18-20) and do not ever let the soil go dry, harvest only when 100% done, trust your knowledge and your equipment. Do that, have patience, it's a lock.

Come on over! I need all the help I can get with getting the outdoor greenhouse setup for the summer!

Relaxation is not something that comes easy for me due to the Lyme Disease that's eating my brain. And teeth. And joints. And sanity at times. I'm stressed about a lot of shit right now and am just trying to keep my head above water. Now the bulk of my grow is going to take twice as long so it will take twice as long to have enough raw cannabis to make the oil I need that works so well for me in treating the disease. But, I've been through this with a grow going off plan - I'm sure everyone has. It was just kind of the last straw on the proverbial camel's back and all that. I'm all good this morning and looking forward to checking the girls in a few minutes.

And, the light at the end of the tunnel? I'm going to have A LOT of kick ass weed in a couple of months. I've learned to always 'try' to look for that light way out there on the horizon. I've had to to make it this far!

Thanks for the reality check MS! Appreciate it. Time to fire up the vaporizer, check the garden, then go watch the snow melt :Sharing One:

Hey Nordy,
I can certainly understand your urgency and frustrations. You're doing a great job with everything. I am envious of your set up. I'm falling apart as well but due to age. Looks like you look on the bright side of things, keep it up . And I can tell you that you will be very happy once that grow finishes up. Dr. Feelgood is great for making oil. Lots of sugar leaves to add. Keep us updated. Those plants look real good so far and I'm looking forward to watching how things turn out.

Thanks, MS. A little update (but no pics yet) - After a bit of contemplation, I ended up leaving the lights at 20/4. When I went back out to check the lights that evening, the oddly branching, yet beautiful, KVS was showing actual flowers. So was the big Dr. Feelgood. So, it took them 50 days from sprout to start flowering. The other KVS and the mini Feelgood are still just showing pre-flowers. Those two are on day 55 now. I'm just going to keep everything going at 20/4 now and let all the girls go. I've got the space (right now) to do this. Going to be interesting when we start hitting day 90 or so, however! I probably should get another light before we get there :)

The White Cheese is beautiful, yet smells like the bottom of a kitty litter box. Had to put the air filter on the vent today as I could smell her outside! Luckily, the neighbors are plenty far away. She should be done in two weeks. Looking forward to that! I'll post some pictures on my next update.

Hey Nordlich!! Been a while! Glad to see you are keepin on my brother! I have heard and read about the problems with the KVS and the Feelgood. I have not experienced this with my batch of KVS. The up side as you said, is having a lot of killer meds in a month or two!! Glad to see your nice tidy grow area and best of luck on the grow. Also glad you took the advise to stay at 20 on. Best light cycle for super autos I have seen!! Keep well my friend.

Hi buddy. At this point just to get them finished up wouldn't hurt either to throw them on 12/12 yield loss is negligible compared to finishing these ladies out.... They may not be what you were expecting but none the less I am willing to bet they will be dank smoke.
Their are so many opinions on best light cycle for autos... I've tried them all... Personally I like 18/6 the best followed by 12/12 (after they stop vertical growth) the yield difference was aprox 10% less running on 12/12 but that way I am also able to run photos and have the best of both worlds ;)

That cheese of yours is sounding incredible! I have yet to grow anything cheesy yet... Soon ;)
Keep it up with :gthumb:
