New Grower Dr. Feelgood and KVS Flowering Question

Damn! Nice plant Ronin! She is a beauty! I won't have the room to grow any of the girls out that big! Also, I'm doing this for medicine that I really, really, really need, and this surprise with the grow time has really thrown me off. I will probably change the lights once the White Cheese is getting close to finishing up in 1.5-3 weeks or so and let her finish under 12/12. I'll just really have to watch how things go with the KVS and Feelgood growth - we'll see how the tent looks then!

I didn't feel like turning all the lights out for the pics. Kind of time-crunched earlier this morning, so sorry for the coloring once again. I'll get better ones next time.

Here are the two KVS on day 47. The one on the right is definitely going to need branch support once she starts budding. She's got all kinds of crazy branching going on.

The Dr. Feelgoods, both on Day 47. Be interesting to see how the little girl on the right comes out.

The Dinafem White Cheese just after being watered (she was bone-dry). She's looking good, albeit a bit smaller than hoped for, but it seems all the Cheese strains I grow out turn out like this. I'll be more careful with the next one and do a little more research on these strains.

on the left is the 47 day old Kush Van Stitch. On the right is a DP Think Different I have under a side light outside the tent. The TD is 32 days old, 15 days less than the KVS.

I just looked at my receipt from Attitude, and both the KVS and Dr. Feelgood seeds were supposed to just be regular autofems. Oh well. After looking at your picture, I can be very hopeful for a robust harvest at least Woops

"Short Stuff Seeds Dr Feelgood short Stuff new release auto flowering - Dr. Feelgood Type : Indica auto strain Height : 10 – 20 inches Harvest : 8-9 weeks from seed…."

Thanks Nordlich. I feel ya on the need for meds.
Funny enough, I have run White Cheese up to this point for my pain meds. Love the White Cheese.
I decided to go with KVS to replace the white cheese. Larger harvest capability.
Thankfully my first kvs auto'd. But the second definitely threw a wrench into the works.
Never good having to wait for meds..
Here's to a successful ending to your grow. :Sharing One:

Thanks, Ronin!

One good thing about this grow going late - I may finally be able to produce enough medicine where I will have extra to cover times like this. I've only been growing at this location for a year now, so I've always been living harvest to harvest for my meds, never really having enough left over to cover gaps when things go awry. Part of that has been the learning curve of being a new(ish) grower and growing in a totally new climate. I think I have a lot of those dumb starter problems figured out now, though! Our medical grow laws are also pretty restrictive in Alaska. Even if it's legalized recreationally this August, the grow laws will still be 3 in veg, 3 in flower.

I'm usually taken aback when I check the tent the next day after I feed the girls, and I'll be feeding them in a couple of days. I'll try to get some new pictures up then. Cheers!

:jaw: Holy crap that kvs got big! I had a pheno that went 120+ days that just wouldn't stop growing I just chopped it because it was taking over my little closet.
May your kvs get big like ronnins my friend! Either way your not too far off from some good smoke :smokeit:

Thanks, mwsmoker!

Yeah, so, like the two KVS and the one big Dr. Feelgood grew over 6 inches each last night! No sign of any buds forming yet, but preflowers all over the place. They've been there for nearly two weeks, though.

When I flip the lights to 12/12, do I keep this schedule until the girls are done? I read a few threads here and there stating you could flip the lights to 12/12 for a week, get the plants to start flowering, then put them back to 18/6 or 20/4. I just want to make sure I do this right. I can't afford to screw this up!

thank you!

When I put my girl in the flower tent she went to 12/12 and is staying there til she's done.
I'm treating her like a photo.
Can't afford to have her go and reveg on me.

dont go back n forth with the hrs , even with autos

I`ve not read the whole thread, but I`d leave em be once you`ve dropped the light cycle(messing with hours will stress your plants, could cause hermies!). I grow with natural light(when I can! :twist:) I`ve found that I get good results with 8-12 hours direct sunlight(so you should be fine for a `result` indoors with 12 hours(just not as much as 18/20)...don`t be greedy! I`m sure next time, you`ll have ironed out your seed stock and be even happier!(always better t`get something nice...rather than a load of disappointing tut!) Hoping it turns out good for ya! :Sharing One:

Thanks for the input! I changed the timer to 12/12 today and put together a veg area where I'll keep things going at 20/4. I pulled out one of the Blackstar 240's to put next to the 300w MH. Since I still have a bunch of KVS and Dr. Feelgood seeds, I'll see how this works out with treating them like a photoperiod plant. I also have a KVS and Feelgood that are 2 weeks old that I planted just in case one of the others didn't work out. I'll throw those into the tent in a few weeks too, as I do have a little space left.

At least I got a chance to tidy the room up a bit

The veg area. The White Cheese will finish here and the Think Different will take her place in the corner when she's done.
