A simple turkey ham and cheese scramble for breakfast this morning.
I can't believe I'm saying this. It still hasn't sunk in yet. His AFN name was Royalroacho and his picture was from The Simpsons when Homie was missing Margerie and drew her face on a paper plate.Holy shit man!
A good friend of mine did that ~5 years ago. Several of my High School buddies back from Vietnam did also a long time ago. There are no words that help.
If you can let me know his AFN name I will let management know and maybe post in Nelson's Balcony.
I remember him, was a great guy. I'm really sorry to hear this bud. Its gotten to be a crazy world, and good friends are hard to find.I can't believe I'm saying this. It still hasn't sunk in yet. His AFN name was Royalroacho and his picture was from The Simpsons when Homie was missing Margerie and drew her face on a paper plate.
Me and this kid were TIGHT. Our lives we're so similar, we just jived...we both are die hard metalheads that have been to hundreds of shows each. I'm a 25 year guitar player, he was maybe 16 years deep, I've been giving him music theory and general guitar lessons for the past year or so, and showing him how to break out of the genre game and just play music that's fun...from jazz to classical to modern progressive metal (I'm a Dream Theater NUT!!! Seen em 14 times live and have the Majesty logo tattooed on my forearm). We've been putting together a little guitar studio over here and we're gonna do some recording over the summer. Literally just finished getting everything we need. Even got a little M-Audio MIDI keyboard to use with VST plugins in Reaper. Got a sick Asus ROG i7 laptop for the DAW to run on via a Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface. He just got the new Mooer GE200 floor unit and I've got a ridiculous guitar rig with about $6k in it. Just got our guitars professionally setup by this absolute monster tech that we know.
We also love building guns and shooting them, as well as compound bows, slingshots, lawn darts, and knives. This kid was a straight up monster artist. He was getting back into doing tatts and just got this insane new gun, that was basically his idea realized by someone else. He always wanted this, but it didn't exist...he got that, just a month ago, along with a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 $1200 PC powered tablet for drawing.
He was getting me into the world of high end saltwater reef tanks, and I've been collecting EVERYTHING to get a 90 gallon going with a Peacock Mantis shrimp. The three of us (Nurse B included) are all animal lovers, and we love our furry family members. He had an adorable fatass cat named Mira that he rescued from a dumpster in the ghetto, and a super awesome bunny named Onion that had free range of the house and used the kitty box...and his 'kid', which is a 2 year old Severe Macaw female named Ava. His bird had the ultra deadly Parrot Bornavirus...which is a death sentence. She was on expensive meds with monthly trips to the Docs to keep it in check. She might have lived another few years, but that Bornavirus thing is no joke. It's a cousin of rabies and is a degenerative one way nightmare. We've had some sad nights talking about Ava and what he was going to do. Nurse B told him "Make sure to let us know if something happens with her, you're not allowed to have guns in the house if that happens.". He literally wanted to kill the shady birdmill guy that sold her to him. He paid almost $2k for her, so he didn't get any deals there. We both thought it was fishy that she didn't have the leg band, which is required under Federal Law on ALL exotic birds. It's designed to make black market exotics much more difficult to move and sell. He basically paid full price and got an illegal alien that was infected with this disease...which is another reason for the leg bands as it's super contagious to other birds including our own domestic and migratory birds.
We also had the dope growing thing in common and between us have grown a metric shit ton of green. He had such a cool collection of "stuff"as well. You'd never know what he was gonna show up with, and like me, has just about everything you could need to build all sorts of projects from stuff laying around the house.
We would hang out till the wee hours of the morning and almost always make food. I bet that he was present for at least 25% of the food pics I've posted here. I was getting him into the joy of cooking from scratch, and how badass dudes can make cookies too.
I still don't know what's happened...the police are doing an investigation as well as an autopsy. From what I've heard, his mother said the cop was hinting at a suicide possibly, and not a drug overdose. I do not like not knowing. I can't believe this.
We were gonna get some motocross bikes this summer...he's never even rode one much less owned one.
Ava, and some of his original artwork. Tell me you wouldn't let this kid ink you...I never had that chance sadly. [emoji24]. RIP brother.
