No problem EvilScotsman ! glad to help a fellow grower out . i got a 10g of brass ages ago an still have a fair amount left ! There are lots of plant growth substances and brass is a safe one i stick too ! ( gibberelic acid ect can ruin a grow easily with just a tiny overdose amount with has done with mine in the past ! there are safe and nasty ones and they all do different things to plants for the good and also bizzare effects !

yeah man im only just realising the amount of things you can actually add to the res. seen one guy on here thats got about half the periodic table in his grow kit . love learning about all this stuff though. makes me feel like a botanist lol

Cheers mate ! yes there is another world of plant nutes to explore than just the salt based ones we buy bottles ! plenty of reading up ! i add alot of different elements to my res on top of my bottled feed .

The bumf that goes with the Ionic nutes says it's complete so I figure it's a bit like dog food.....there are shelves full of things dogs like but most of it just makes them fat. Active transport should take care of nutritional requirements if things are present in the right sort of ratios.

yeah there seem to be a lot of things that do a lot of stuff. all down to the personal experience tho. what works for one doesnt necessarily work for the other. theres so many factors involved. ill be trying things little by little tho. they've been through that much already that im aswell experimenting while i can.

round 2 of training now underway. went for the very scientific, cable tie anchored to the middle to spread it out method. tell you what tho these are 2 proper stumpy little chicas like. the main branches are all solid. i got worried a few times with my pinning down but no more injuries thankfully : ) res day tomorrow so well find out if i have indeed "got it sussed". time will tell amigos.

and also as you can see, when kush said " 1 plant is usually as much as you can fit in a 205" he was clearly right. gonna be some funny shaped plants by the time i finish growing them out to the corners : )
