Lighting Don't know what wattage or how many lights to get for my growtent.

Hello everyone. I have a growtent that i will measure later so i know exactly how big it is. It's at least 1m x 1m x 2m but might be 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m or inbetween. Im having trouble working out how many plants and how many watts of light im going to need to get the most out of my tent.

I was thinking about buying a small 90watt UFO LED for starting the seedlings then when they get bigger put them under a higher wattage LED panel like a 300 watt then maybe add another 1 or 2 of them into the tent as the plants need it.

I have 6 seeds germinating right now and most have popped already and was hoping these 6 plants would be enough to fill the tent if i gave it enough light. There are 2x Auto Wappa's, 2x Auto Whiteberry's and 2x Pandora's.

I am in the UK and don't know what brand's are the best to get. I need to get one ASAP though because the seeds already have roots coming out!

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Uh, so...? There was a lot of big words and scientific jargon being used, but I think I got the gist of what they were saying. I think! So, and please correct me if I'm wrong, what they were saying is UV light increased THC, but didn't affect CBDs, right?

I got this for now just to start off. It consumes around 100 watts and gives off supposedly 180 watts worth of light.

Does anyone know if this one is good or not? I already own a "Prakasa" branded one that uses 5watt LED's instead but they have jacked the price up from £78 to £150(!) for the 90 watt version i have and i simply couldn't afford to pay that for 1 light at this moment in time. I'd have prefered to have stuck with what i know but i guess im gonna be testing out a new UFO brand. Im hoping all those good ratings on ebay stand for quality! I plan on using this to start the plants off and then switch to a much bigger LED panel for flowering.

Those guys were formerly known as TopLED. Just about the best lights out there for the price, IMHO. I'm rocking a Mars II 400w right now, and I'm seriously considering snatching up two UFOs'

The average price difference between a 90 watt and a 180 watt is less than $10 average! Get the 180, its more versatile and more bang for the buck! I've had seedlings and clones under mine, they did fine!

Hi 420ing, I hate to sound like a broken record but...I've got two Mars lights a 3 Watt x 100 original and a Mars II 700. I like them a lot. Starting from scratch I use two of the 3Wx100 lights or two of the Mars II 400 like Bandit's. But one Mars II 700 in a 2 meter high tent as you've described would rock some plants. Cheers
