Extraction Does it need to be an alcohol tincture to work

For tinctures and edibles, I always use a bit of lecithin. I think it helps with extraction, and it certainly helps with absorption.
I use it when making edibles and extracting. Not EC because it strips everything correct? Some people say lecithin doesn't do anything, and those people are wrong! Cant recommend it more when making your edibles. Strongest edibles ever made were with lecithin.

I used to cut neighbors grass lol. .....I will then look to get a job in the cannabis world.

Now you trim your own grass! :smokeit:

Believe it or not, colleges and universities in BC are offering courses to work in the industry!

I don't really know. It is an emulsifier, so it could be. I don't mind. I think getting more of the plant is ultimately better and I start with cured material so there's no chlorophyll taste in the tincture.

I made some iso oil recently out of some old weed and didn't add any. It's for vaping and burning and I didn't think it would work very well. Plus I don't know it is safe to inhale.

I learned that my prescription anti-inflammatory cream has a lecithin type base. The pharmacist told me that it is good for transporting across the skin, so I put it in my canna salves too.

Lecithin is an emulsifier, that its main purpose in foods. It makes you stuff not stronger, but makes it more available for absorption. You will hear people say it has more bioavailability when you use lecithin, that's why you get higher if that's that correct way to say lol. BUT... DO NOT MIX WITH WATER! If you mix with water and use in a mbm it will turn to sludge and be ruined. Something how they react when blended. It is in everything that you buy to eat that is processed, look that the list of ingredients hahaha. I never knew till I started infusing with the mbm2. I use sunflower lecithin Powder. Shit is old but still works. I was going to put some in my honey and tincture but not sure how it would react with alcohol in the mbm2. Was going to leave or add some alcohol to help make honey thin out some. Alcohol should give some sublingual, what you think?

It sure does work. I used to make oil caps and I went from 4-5 doses per gram (bud) to 6-8.

Don't know about honey and lecithin. I have never used an MBM but I do use a pressurized heat system and lecithin is no problem in alcohol. No separation or goop, just the normal amount of fine sediment. I give it a quick shake anyways so no prob.

Yes, I am certain that the alcohol will aid in sublingual absorption, but honestly I don't know how much. Every time I bought weed honey it effected me like edible.
